So far from what I've been doing, EVERY single boss encounter in this game has an incredible variety of add spawns (a lot of the time they even get stuck in the environment and end up spawning even more).
For a D&D game (or games in general), easily the best design philosophy. Not to mention the trash mobs prior to the bosses are abundant and will always keep you engaged with their incredible amounts of HP.

Okay, now the suggestions to improve those bossfights? You skipped that bit in your post.
A lack of suggestions does not mean that the complaint is invalid. That said, the suggestion is implied; more variety in boss fights. Mechanics that actually require more thinking than "Stay out of red regions on floor".

I agree, people saying its easy are the 1%...
Like devs have to point out all the time; they are the most vocal... But far from the actual majority.
Most people wont even bother commenting in forums these days.
There are some very interesting raid style encounters.
They don't all have to be perfect.
I like the adds, (sure some scaling needs to be done here and there; sometimes to many lol; and thats usualy from the Elite adds) I dunno why people complain this game is the first game Ive played that actually feels like an RPG and MMO. (even if the world is arguably a step back; people miss the pluses they can do with this set up. Endless use of one map for example...
Far more then the story mode of swtor that feels disconnected from the mmo aspect over all.

My suggestion. The boss will now spawn boss adds that spawn adds.
Come on, that would be pretty funny right? You fight the Mad Dragon who spawns other Mad Dragons who spawn drakes! Suddenly you're playing one of those overhead shooter games and have to DODGE EVERYTHING except for a very tiny area - Touhou shooters are so... 'fun'.
Enter room.
Boss places red circles over floor.
Boss spawns bunch of adds.
Repeat and rinse till boss dies.
EVERY single boss in the game. Too boring and unimaginative.
Right...unlike where in other mmos boss spawns, add spawns, everyone moves from fire (ironically very lil movement; or sticks to a pattern of endless movement...um sounds the same to me; cept more dynamic in NWO)
This is a step up...
Unless you like GW2 where the boss just does what ever the Beep it wants and is completely a spam feast of chaos on both sides; and the SAME encounter pattern every time...
Just don't see where these wonderful encounters you are comparing to come from in your head? Single player games lol?
Y do you people even play Mmorpgs...?
Action mmo bosses in themselves are a step up compared to traditional mmos... Where the bosses stand n place maybe moving every 2 min once... Unless your kiting him lol.
The gimmick behind these kinds of A-mmo bosses is in the endurance of the fight...
Other then that this is the one place where arguing the term beta or just being a new game period has valid usage.
To add, look at Gw2 again where a good amount of their encounters also stand in place but use moving limbs. NWO has a wide range of mechanic flavor bosses... Go to Tera or others and what do you get? Re skinned bosses... Awesome at first but then boring fast. There is a middle ground to much or to lil ruins it.
And sure there can be similarities in this game; umm you can only do so much... Short of giving the Boss actual AI that learns. In which that would make the game impossible to play for most... *cough

i'd love to see more boss encounters that doesn't boil down to two mechanics, which are usually: AoE and spam adds.

You're right, but as someone else after my posted correctly stated, more variety is implied. Just something simple like (for example) one player has a specific job where a lever would spawn on a random side of the room and a player would need to pick the correct out of a total of four levers, failure to pick the correct one would have negative outcomes (like an extra wave of adds, or the area where the fight is taking place becomes temporarily smaller).
That's just one of many suggestions I could make, but it's not really our place to design their game for them My post was trying to point out that every single boss uses the same mechanics, just different shaped red patches or different spawns. I don't believe it fair to credit this game with comments like "best boss counter designs ever".
That being said, this is still early in the games life and I hope that the devs will realize that the boss fights are extremely unchallenging and boring.
