I'm not one to propagate malice in a forum by echoing hundreds of hateful dissenters, but I really cannot stand what's happening in PvP, and I also cannot and will not stand for your silence on the matter. This game and its developers have done an exceptional job. Exceptional. So why is it that a mistake as obvious and foolish and amateur as the ability to farm PvP rewards via AFK even exists? I overlooked the Foundry error - another entry-level A-grade elephant that I'm still not sure how anyone missed during development - but when your lack of conviction leads to waste harming MY play experience, I will not stand for it. I need to hear someone say "Oh yes, we are well aware, and we're going to fix in <specified amount of time>." Nerf it to hell if you want, I could not be swayed to care less. Fix it.

People will always look for and find the shortest route to their goal. Doesn't matter how much planning goes on to try and prevent it, people will find it. Heck, there are still a ton of exploit maps in the foundry, clogging up the list, and people have found exploits to keep people from reporting the exploits. If they put as much effort in the game as they put in trying to find the "easier" route, they would have hit cap long ago.
Heck, look at WoW, people have bots programmed to follow random people, attack at times, act like players, and that must have taken a while. There will always be people who find a way. They can only do their best at finding them as they pop up. Before open beta, it was mostly people who were here because they cared about the game, then the flood gates opened and people who didn't care one way or the other, or about other players started finding exploits those who enjoyed the game weren't even looking for, and then spread them.
tfangel, thats true, but doesn't really have anything to do with the thread.
We aren't talking about people going out of their way to find and abuse exploits that a person would normally not think of... we are talking about an error so glaringly obvious that I have trouble understanding how it made it into the hands of the public.

They clearly did not care about the PVP, its just something they tossed in there and did a horrible job at it. Might be the worse PVP I have ever had the nightmare of playing.

I take issue with this; PvP isn't a nightmare. It's... basic, yes, and there aren't a vast array of map choice available, but let's remember that this is open beta. For what it is, I think it's rather exciting, and I think it has a lot of potential. There are always going to be those who try to find the loophole or the wayaround, but that shouldn't deter PW from making it that much more difficult for them by fixing the AFK issue, which is just... I'd say "glaringly obvious" is a pretty apt description.
