I'm sure it's there, but I can't seem to remember it from the beta weekends.
How do you issue commands to your companions?

Thanks.

You don't. Unless I really missed a pretty big part of the game...

Really? I figured I was just blind. I would much prefer it as a TR that I could send my companion in at first to get all the aggro then I can sneaky sneaky stabby stabby.

yeah really wish companions were a bit more useful, no interaction no ability to direct them..just a loal pet with bad pathing.

Not to mention they sometimes take up to 5 seconds to start attacking. By then, most things are already dead.

I've been looking for them too.
Really wanted to use the tank on my Wizard and it works well enough against solo bosses. But as soon as there are a few others around, they ALL come for me and my tank totally ignores them, focusing solely on the boss while I get slaughtered.
Or he goes for one of the minions and ignores the boss. Also good.

It has caused me to shelf the tank (I sometimes use him in dungeons still) and use the Healer when soloing. Less damage and the mobs still come for me. But now at least I expect them to come for me, and I get healed. Works much much better

I love how my tank companion will run and try and taunt an aoe circle when I neglect to dodge it.

From the makers of STO, the MMO with probably the MOST ability to customize and strategically operate your 'companions' comes a game in which the companion AI and customizability seem to have been taken back to 1994.... Its sad really. yet another part of this game that could have been SO much better with relatively little effort. IF only....

Dude, they're not finished with the game... I'm pretty sure there will be companion commands. It's not just implimented yet.

For a TR, throw daggers at the mob you want your companion to tank. When the companion is engaged, kill the rest. This works up to level 40 then the companion is too weak to last very long. Also, I used a Man at arms as a tank. Does not work with a cleric (Why can't they turn undead?)
