OK before any mod swoops in and closes topic this is not an alt account this is the account that got banned so i am not advocating someone elses banning the ban was lifted which means i did nothing wrong!
I bought the founders pack over the weekend and paypal decided to hold the transaction for confirmation. I automatically got a ban for this, something which was 100% out of my control. I think there should be a few days grace if you're gunna ban someone for chargebacks due to IT NOT ALWAYS BEING THE PAYERS FAULT. I have seen i am not the only one to have this happen. For all intents-and-purposes I got banned for trying to give you money?!?!
So this thread is not about discussing the banning as apparently that's not allowed but the system which it's built on and improvements it needs
if i had received an email saying your payment has been withheld please contact the payment facilitator, i would have done so immediately, just like i did. And if you've ever been on a phone call to paypal you'd know it's not fun.
This however is not my only gripe, as you can clearly see I am unbanned, after multiple emails to support I still have not received a reply which means either they unbanned me and never bothered with the reply or the unbanning system is automated too. with so many automated systems built on others things like this is gunna happen too frequently. You need a live chat service... even my electric company has this but a developer who makes a game which is designed for 24/7 use in all time zones does not?
Seems they seen their mistake and unbanned you and you still have issues? So on their side they fixed it. They cant make Pay Customer Support work, nothing to do with them. Heck the combined mental powers of Gandalf , Yoda and Doctor Who wouldnt be able to get Paypal Customer Support working right :P

TBH a few days banned for nothing more than giving them money is an issue and I think i have the right to be more than a little annoyed. That said however, I did not post it to complain about the banning but rather the system that caused it. I seriously believe things like this should not be automated 100%. Perhaps get the account flagged and emails sent out but there needs to be some humanity in the system, 3 working days to fix the issue with facilitator.
And in regards to paypal, atleast i could phone them even on a sunday. But can't do anything of the sort with perfect world/cryptic.

PayPal once decided to *RETURN* a payment I made because they said it was suspicious. I never authorized the return payment. It was for a humble bundle purchase, and humble bundle just stopped letting me download those games or view the keys (which is fine). But if the payment had been to Steam or to PWE I'd have had my account suspended probably forever.

all way make sure your paypal connect your bank account and make sure you have money in your bank lol
Payment would have failed if i did not have the money. The money was most certainly in my paypal account.
The problem with a few days grace for failed payment is that the founder packs come with AD and other tradeable stuff.
Did not think of this, but surely this just amplifies the need for a real customer service department to get things sorted quickly? Definitely need a live chat system imo
PayPal is probably completely at fault if I read your story correctly.
I bought Zen through PayPal, which is turning out to be a huge mistake. When I used Skrill as the payment processor, I got my Zen instantly. PayPal, however, is still in "reviewing payment" for about 18 hours now. Seriously? Twenty-four hours to verify and process a payment?
I'd have been better off going out to the bank, buying a money order for the amount spent, mailing it to Cyptic/PW and then waiting for it to arrive and be entered into the system. It's just like that.
I will never use PayPal again for any order. Ever. I suggest others do the same.

It's frickin paypal.
You have any idea how many times they have done stuff to my account calling it "random security checks".
All I want is to purchase stuff through them and have them quit messing stuff up.

What other option do we have? I rather use paypal than enter my credit card info in.
PWE and NWO have no direct way to pay them, and I refuse to use Paypal even for credit card purchases. It is unfortunate that a company like PWE does not have a way to purchase the founders packs without going through paypal. Just ridiculous really.

what difference does that make? paypal has all your info also and thye seem to be the one to complain about. use debit if you want to be safe. why at all would you use a third party to handle YOUR money? i never did understand that logic.

The reason for doing so, is suppose that PWE was hacked but you used PayPal. Then your credit card details are still safe. Same with all the other companies you use PayPal to buy things from. So rather than running the risk of losing your CC details if any one of a large number of companies get hacked you have reduced the danger to just PayPal begin hacked. And give that PayPal would many of their their customers very quickly if they ever were successfully hacked, they have a huge incentive to make that as difficult as possible.
Of course using PayPal has other potential issues as well.......
That is why you get one of those prepaid credit cards for online purchases. Up here in Canada I can get a Visa prepaid card from Money Mart and I only have to put on it what I want to use. So even if my card gets stolen or details hacked. If there is no money on the card then they get nothing.

or like i said you can go buy a debit card and put EXACTLY what you want to pay on it and then throw the card away. who cares if some hacker gets your old used up debit card info. pay what you want and have zero ties to your personal banking account. only option that makes sense to me. i dont know bout you but nobody has access to my banking except me and me alone. not paypal or and CC companies.

Hmmm... You want them to buy a building to furnish with computers and security systems, then pay to train workers that require an hourly wage (which isn't cheap, btw. Apple customer support rep here. I make 22$ an hour.) instead of using an automated system that is perfectly free other than negligible server maintenance costs?
Yeahh... PWE will consider that business plan, I am very sure.
