Communicate with your player-base

So, I've been reading the forums for a while and one thing that I've noticed is that there is NO communication from the developers to the players? Why is this?

Facebook and Twitter have constant chit-chat going on between the game and the players, and we all really appreciate that.

Now we need attention on the forums. You've got glaring design flaws, balance issues, game content that's horribly wrong and your player-base is fuming about on a daily if not hourly basis. If you're even a HALF decent company, your going to have to start getting someone to post on here to let us know whats going on.

Just tell us what you're thinking of doing, or where certain issues are on your priority list. That is enough. Just talk to us. Please.

Kind Regards,

Acroniaz

People are whinging every MINUTE on the forums. The only way the devs could keep up would be if they had people employed 24/7 to provide feedback. Whether they can afford this or not, I don't know. My opinion is the forum needs to be further divided into sub forums with stickied topics relating to key issues so that they can get away without unnecessary 24/7 feedback.

In the other MMO forums I've seen, collating constructive feedback and passing it to the development team was the job of the community managers or forum moderators, or whatever they were called on that forum.
I'd assume that its something similar here.

Bear in mind that on, say the WoW forums, the devs occasionally post about stuff, but its often in their own time, and they tend to avoid it in good threads due to the disruption it causes.

They need to do something. They can't just be silent like this.
