I was just ****ing globally muted after I sent two whispers.
I love how people can troll you by having their friends report spam just to get you muted.
Can't wait until 3 am tomorrow to be able to send a whisper or talk in ****ing guild chat

    You think customer service gives a ****? I have a 24 hour mute, it takes over a week to get a ****ing response

    Working as designed according to Cryptic. Anybody can mute anyone else in the player run Mafia based chat ban system we have here in CO...er, STO...er, NW.

    Also expect this thread to be locked as you can't talk about being chat banned according to our forum mod...despite a ton of said threads over in CO about this.

    Yea I was just muted and I don't even have any idea how. It had been several hours since I said anything then I just now noticed I couldn't talk.. This is ridiculous. I imagine I even got spam-reported by a griefer guild while I wasn't even saying anything. This game is a joke.

    I have been muted since may, no response from customer services. I put in the report in game and through the website in May. It is now nearing the end of June. I love how I put money into games I cannot even enjoy playing now. Lifetime subscriber to STO, Heroes of the North pack, Bought Zen for the three games I actually enjoy playing. Global Mute has ruined my enjoyment of these games. The only person I can play the games with now is my husband. He has to tell me if anyone is saying something to me and reply for me. For all of the flaws and grinding out emblems that the other superhero games, fantasy genre, and Sci-fi based games have. I've been putting more time into them and had thought I would never touch them again. I'll miss STO and CO. Not so sure about missing NW though. I think it made me even regret playing D&D P&P for so long and holding out for a decent MMO made out of the rich history the game has for many of it's games.

    Here's hoping that Someone starts to understand the damage they are doing to their customer base with this global muting of players who don't do anything besides enjoy a simple game.

    I understand the frustration but the only way to resolve these issues is by contacting support.

    If I could assist you guys in any way I would but there's simply nothing I can do. I'm closing the thread since account related issues can't be resolved through the forums and don't contribute to the community discussion.

    Please just contact support and remain patient. :)
