Gear Score randomly dropping?

ok so my gear score has been the same since yesterday, i havent changed anything , it was 9123, and im sitting in town and i actually see it going down, i saw it at 8923 and 10 seconds later its down to 8913, whats going on?

    i get that, sometimes my gs is over 10k and sometimes its below 8k for some reason and i am in all purples.

    now its back up to 9123,, what the heck is going on

    It's not just gear, a dev confirmed that it takes buffs, skills, and enchants into account. Companions that boost scores can also do it. It's really a "Stat score", probably named gearscore as people are familiar with that.

    Yeah, I think it also discredits stats that don't contribute much to your class either.

    It's a bit inconsistent. Some buffs (such as potions) do not change your GS, but some other stat-affecting things do. For example, GF's can get a feat that doubles their Power if their guard meter is full. This affects GS, and can artificially add ~1500 or more to their GS. Also, humans get a small boost to their GS because of their Versatile Defense trait.

    If GS is going to be meaningful, it needs to only take gear into account (including set bonuses, but nothing else).
