Gnomes?

My kid asked me and I had no answer for him: What happened to gnomes? They just not "cool" enough for the first run of races? I know they weren't the most popular in P&P play, either, but my kid seems to still like them :-D

    In before the videos.../duck

    They are now "Monsters".

Google this "D&D 4th Edition: Tiefling & the Gnome - YouTube" and watch. (we can't post you-tube anymore on this forum.)

Pity. I like them or comedy relief if nothing else.

They are rare as Player character races. Check the "Lore" link in my signature and then click on "Races" from index on post#1 in that thread.

Old info, not true anymore. Read, as my previous post says, to know its current status.

No! They're Monsters! Monsters I say; they have such tiny hands, and big heads, and they eat crackers in bed. Monsters!

Well this frickkkin' D&D (WotC) needs to stop changing. Really just stop...

ROFLMAO I've played gnomes in WoW and Everquest primarily for comic relief, from the all powerful Murtau of WoW (Warlock) who kept getting both himself and his minions squished to Rigsid, his brother (WoW and Everquest) who kept getting his hand stuck in things. Get it? Rigs and Murtau. Hee hee. And their family name was Boulderdash after their father. Who got the name from this horrible accident involving a boulder and a village he was trying to protect from it...

Nice! I always had a few around in EQ. I had the Trifecta Zigzy, Zagzy, and Zugzy...Wizard, Warrior, & Mage. Two were on my roomates accounts, so I would 3 box them some times. Usually just annoying people in the Commonlands Tunnel. I have been punted by the best of them.

LOL oh man for sure. I just bought a Kindle, and am going to load it with many of the FR books. I stopped reading those in about 1992...so yeah, alot of lore I have missed.

We'll allow links no problem, yes even the D&D 4e humor ones, and even videos embedded if it's relevant to D&D and Neverwinter.

For instance, the reason the gnome is not in the game yet is the class he's doing isn't released here yet!

    What class somebody might ask?

Every vet here is saying it at once, I just know it!

It is very very confusing. there is no one place for all post-spellplague info. Even people like me and truth who have been playing 4e campaigns may get confused sometimes over things.

So its not a big deal. in other words, even if you read a lot, you will still make mistakes and get confused(like us). :p

Gnomes are very important to have in the game.

I'm running out of halflings to punt.

Give us Dragonborn and Half-Giants, first! Need some more -big- races so I can make a female character taller than a human male.

    -Rachel-
Great Weapon Fighter tanks? Who are you kidding? Cleric tanks. They draw -all- the aggro.

One of my fondest PnP characters was a timid and paranoid, gnome mage called Spoofy, who had a knack for getting into bad situations and somehow escaping. His real name was nearly unpronounceable. Ah, good times.

I too have fond memories of many a gnome adventurer, i would enjoy playing a gnome again so much here, and sense it was in the PH2, i totally think they should be added, if not by launch in an expansion, at least at some point in time. a lot of people played gnomes in a lot of different games, i know the race would get alot of love
