Remember your words when everyone does it and zen price raises leading to a HAMSTER servers economy. Currently it goes down because the only way to earn a non laughable amount of AD requires you to sell stuff to players, that and because everyone is probably selling all zen they have stocked because they see prices falling and falling so they panic, but eventually it will go up again.

When you click on buy and select a payment option, it lists the different amounts and prices.
Jnc, STO and CO use the the same system. The exchange rate will eventually gravitate toward 100:1, so ADs will continue to increase in value. I bought 15M AD during the headstart at the maximum rate of 500:1. If I exchanged them back now, I would make a good Zen profit already (but I will not, because I think 370:1 is still a rate where I would rather buy ADs than sell them).
We dont know if it will go to 1:100 or not, but we can think it will go down with some logic. Atm theres tons of millions of AD infused into the game with founders packs, and that rises the prices quite a lot (if i have 2M AD, i can see a rate of 1:400 and say "ok, i have a lot so lets go"). But that superplus of AD is getting eaten by vendors and AH, and also its moving to a few players that make a lot of AD with AH and selling zens. Now that players can only make 24k AD x day we will see it increase its value cause it will become more scarce. But it prob will take some months yet, but economy will move to some balance when the amount of added AD to the economy ar 24k x player and not 2M or 600k.
It would make in-game stuff cheaper, not more expensive. Daily quests and such will still yield the same amount of ADs, but the Zen value of those will be higher than now. So people who do not want to spend real money will be able to exchange their ADs for more Zen. It isn't just speculation, STO and CO use a nearly identical system with the same parameters (50-500:1 spectrum), so there is some evidence to look at.
When I bought ADs at 500:1, one million cost me 2000 Zen. If I exchanged it back right now, today, at 370:1, I would get 2700 Zen. Not bad for two weeks.
The same logic says not only players have too much AD, they have too much Zen as well. At some point zen demand will be higher than supply, which is the opposite case at this very moment. Right now it's just madness with people having either too much AD or Zen, but Zen current price will be cheap compared to a few months ahead, I can guarantee you that. The game just launched, so there is too much people selling Zen, but how long do you think that's gonna last?
AD earning is 23k refine a day PER CHARACTER, so even if you earn 23k with a single character what makes you think people won't get 100-200k AD a day just by logging with multiple accounts/characters and simply doing the evocation or settings crafts/completing dailies?
Mind you telling me how ingame stuff will be cheaper? Let's say an unbind is 50k AD, right now that's like 150 zen, aka 1.5$. If the ratio was 100:1 a simple unbind would be 5$. If it happened to go that low, they would have to set new prices for everything or boost AD rewards (I can see the later comming anyways, because earning AD is very low imo, unless you play multiple characters or exploit it by setting crafts and doing evocation on multiple acc/chars, easy AD earning).
I meant cheaper in terms of ADs, and ADs having more buying power.
Current AD prices for Zen are expensive. You need a lot AD for a Zen. In a few months you will need fewer AD to get Zen, which makes Zen cheaper than now (and with it everything in the cash store, too). This is actually working better for free players than for those who buy Zen. Buying AD gets more expensive because their value increases daily.
It is precisely because of the limited AD influx (more leaving the system than entering it) that the exchange rate will keep going down. I am confident we will see 250:1 within 2-3 months. We went from 500 to 370:1 in two weeks. It will stabilize somewhere and I believe it will be closer to 100 than 500.
As I said, the reason it goes down it's because everyone sells Zen when a game launches, it's usually MUCH higher than demand...and often that goes away in a month when supply is cut by half because hype is over. People still don't know how to earn AD properly other than by selling high priced items to players, and since that already earns you AD they don't bother trying to figure out how you can farm AD.
Even tho Zen price was probably expensive at 500:1 when it just released caused by the AD rewarded with founder packs, I don't see it going below 300 anytime, and probably will go up again until prices match properly and supply/demand gets stablished (Let's be honest, Zen supply right now is WAY higher than demand, hence why its price goes down, and this will change when half of the customers hop into another game or get bored of it, which is usually about a month).
Currently people is in panic, they think "Hey, prices are going down, so i'll sell my Zen because it will get cheaper!" "Items prices also go down, omg how am I gonna earn AD?"
The limited AD is worthless if you can bypass it by playing multiple characters. So you are not gonna earn 23k a day.

you can bypass it also by selling items in the auction house.

In my opinion, it is not the Zen supply that is high, but the AD supply that is decreasing. At first, all founders had 600k to 2M AD. That is why we saw 500:1. Removing gems, the Cat (costs 1M and is the best end game companion for every class), scrolls (at 60 you barely get any Greater ID scrolls), soon the costs for the upgrades for the companions, feats respecs for ADs, etc -- all this brings down the total sum of AD. Yes, you can get 24k per character, but honestly, this takes quite a bit of time. Most people will not do it.
But at this point this is all speculation. We can revisit this thread in 2-3 months and see how things developed by then. It is part of what makes the game's economical aspects a fun mini game.
The ingame respec is pointless for example, it's more expensive than a full respec bought with Zen. Same goes for a mount, it's much more expensive to buy a single mount ingame right now than getting Zen and buying an account wide mount. I believe PW and Cryptic though well the prices, I don't think they were off by that huge amount since I'm pretty sure they have people that know a lot about the subject. The 23k cap can be reached by doing like...a daily or two and some crafting + praying, and since there are several dailies I predict the 23k cap will be raised...
And even tho it takes a long time to earn 23k AD on a single character, people who makes dozens of accounts/characters can probably earn 100k in a matter of minutes.
you can bypass it also by selling items in the auction house.
I know that, but I was talking about ways of gaining over 23k AD without even selling a single item. Obviously right now the best way to earn AD is selling overpriced stuff to people that is paying too much for items that will be somewhat worthless at some point.
They cost almost the same in WoW and Rift, and that's on top of the game and the monthly subscription fee. It's fairly standard. But if you were considering a mount, you can also look into the Guardian founder pack for better value.
They even said themselves these mounts arent for the casual player, theyre not supposed to be common. theyre for the type of person who wants it and can say yeah i have an "exclusive" mount and dont mind paying for it. who really cares, i bought the game for $60 and would never pay $30 for a different mount because i dont personally see the need.
People who say this game is p2w is like saying league of legends is pay to win. in LoL u can rotate characters every week and play every single character eventually if u like or u can shell out $$ for characters to keep and learn them and play them to the best of ur ability, then theres skins which dont do anything (which i compare to a mount cos its basically a skin - at endgame the runspeed doesnt really make much difference) people will pay for the skins to look different and some of the single character ultimate skins on LoL can be $15 then time that by 50 chars (not all chars have ultimate skins) u have $750 of skins that dont do anything, much more expensive than a mount.

Either way, 100 zen is 1$, or 350+ AD ingame.
Btw, the exchange Buy/Sell zen ingame is so stupid, in GW2 they made it right but here you can be all day buying and selling zen to get a profit...
Redburst, the prices for Zen can be checked here: https://billing.perfectworld.com/

Where exactly does it say the price?

This isn't quite correct because you have to consider the source of AD which is limited and not like gold you can farm endlessly.
That's the thing...you actually can, just not by playing a single character.
It's for all characters if I'm not wrong, so it's not that "expensive" if you have several characters.
