I usually tip the authors of the foundry quests I finish 250 AD on average. 50 if it's unoriginal or tedious, but I finished it, 500 if it has good writing or atmosphere (also if it was a long adventure). It's just a portion of what the foundry daily gives, so it finances itself, and I hope it contributes to people staying motivated.
I tip if the missions are any good, but I have in issue with the foundry overall that makes me not want to interact with anything on it. When I go to place something on the map, the mouse and item gets stuck and I cant move my mouse at all, even if I alt f4 the window out and close neverwinter, my cursor is stuck and unable to be moved. It forces me to restart my whole pc, so I dont do anything associated with the Foundry until it gets fixed and I can do some of my own quests.
I don't really get a lot of AD, so..I really only tip once in a while if it's really good and original.
.....
So far I've only done this with ONE quest.
Mainly because I have ridiculously high standards when it comes to campaigns. I'm the type of guy who sees your campaign, plays it, puts it back down and says:
"This is good"
Before I take that campaign and completely destroy it, then I look you right in the eye while you stand there watching as a couple days worth of work goes up in smoke, and then I say to you: "Now do it better."

Oh I've got a fix for that.
If this happens while you're placing things while making a foundry mission. Just hit "ctrl+s", that usually fixes it up for me.
It depends on the quest. If it leaves me frustrated at certain aspects of it, probably not. If the story seems like window dressing for hack/slash, probably not. If the game ever grabs me, I may start working in there myself, basing it off a module I did for online play in NWNs, which was a low magic module for a break from munchkinville servers I played on. If I get around to it, my first module in the series won't have much, if any combat in it, since I'll be doing it solely for the story, and I'm not sure how well that work within the confines of the Foundry. I haven't started working in it yet, so I don't know if it's even possible.
Reading comprehension is essential in a medium that requires reading for communication.
If I feel the author did a good job (which so far every foundry I've done that qualifies for the daily have) I will tip the first time.
Pretty much this. I am really impressed by the quality of some work, so this seems a good way to show my appreciation. I also always try to give constructive feedback for any Foundry missions too, which might be even more important.

I will try this later, and if it works, I will praise you and give you moneys. Maybe even whisper sweet nothings in your ear.

This ! I do not mind giving tips if it was an enjoyable work, giving fun to the players ! Plus it is important to keep those guys in order for them to make more interesting stories ;p
500 if quest was outstanding and made me craving for more, or going for the next part of campaign.
250 if quest was simply good.
Good quests doesn't need to be story-heavy for me. A hack'n'slash one with believable story and fun combat is also fine.
A non-quest RP locations are usually 500 or 250 for me if well made (have good flavor and are well crafted).
50 if it was "meh" for me but not bugged, it was playable and at least I've completed not being bored.
But I'm giving tips only once per quest, even if I'm replaying some missions.
I reserve it for the best of the best. My reviews are my opinion though so take it for what it is. People have different tastes, like and dislikes. I try to be positive unless it was a total waste of my time.
One thing I realized by looking into how the foundry works is its limitations. A huge amount of functions that many authors would need to make an excellent quest aren't even implemented in NWO's toolset. Neverwinter Night's toolset had much more functionality included as an example. I understand not allowing authors to influence drops/treasure to some extent, but to give authors no influence at all is idiotic. Not too mention mob modifications and basic triggers.

It depends on how I rate them. One to three stars stories I will not tip, but I always leave, regardless of the rating, good feedback. Of course, four and five stars get tip with five getting the bigger.
I've created stories in CoH and STO, and it does take time to get a quality one done. With my family life and work it's hard for me to get to deep into it, but I admire does that do an awesome job. Does are the ones that put a lot of time in it. Kudos and take my money. LOL
I hardly even leave a star rating since pushing any button closes the review window as soon as it comes up
I posted a bug report this the other day. I hope this can be fixed because I figure it's a common problem, unless you and I just happen to be extra clumsy.

I spent a bit of time with the toolset this morning and I actually felt slightly overwhelmed! I think the limitations are probably because of the MMO aspect. Lots more people, and more potential for exploits that could heavily impact the game. It's probably also a greater challenge than doing a toolset for a SP or small-scale MP game (I played lots of NWN persistent worlds a decade ago). Hopefully, as time improves, the foundry toolset gets more features too, but I think that is the plan anyway.
Gosh, already over ten years since NWN1. Amazing how time flies.
