Heros in Profession broken? or false advertising?

After buying many booster packs I finally Purchased a Hero off the Auction house, as I read it Hero's give you a 50% boost. Why is it then that a 2hr task with a Hero slotted was actually 1hr 19min? Combined with an adventurer (25%) and total time was 1hr 9min?

I had thought the 2 combined should have equaled out to 45min on a 2hr task. Now either my math is wrong

120 - (120min x .5) =60 -(60 x .25)=45min

or Hero is Broken

OR

Perfect World is guilty of False advertising?

I really I hope it is just Broken. Having spent real money to get this purported 50% increase it would be very unsatisfactory for a lot of people to suddenly have the advertisement change to say 45%.

    It doesn't reduce the time by the percentag the bonus; it increases the rate at which you get things done. With a normal mercenary, you would progress at normal speed (100%). With a hero, things get done at +50% speed, for a total of 150%. Basically, divide the original length by the rate at which things are done, and you get the modified task length.

    If a hero is assigned to do a task that takes one hour, you divide 60 minutes by 1.5, for a total of 40 minutes. If you have two heroes, the time required becomes 60 minutes divided by 100% + 50% + 50% or 60 / 2 = 30 minutes.

    Basically, modified task length = original task length / (1 + bonus).

    Let me spend a few minutes wiping that egg off my face...

    Thanks Arontimes, remind me next time to post a question on forums before making a ridiculous post or purchase. So in order to actually get a 50% bonus you need 2 Hero's. I obviously suck at math

    Its one of those word problems that throws a lot of math people off. You have to always ask yourself does it say it reduces crafting time or does it increase crafting speed. It is just like doing the math for haste in a lot of games.
