PvP Feedback - Bugs/errors found so far

Hello,

I love the PvP aspect of this game and so I've been playing lots of Domination games every day. There are some things that I've experienced which could use clarifying or fixing though:

-Joining Error-

My biggest issue is that sometimes (like once every 7 domination games), the game starts without me. I am in the party, but not in the Domination instance. When I right-click a team member and mouse over joining them it states 'you have to wait x seconds until you can change the instance'. Once that time is up and I try to join the team again, I get an error message that says 'You cannot join -teammate's name- in Hotenow Domination. You must both be in different instances on the same map'. Wth does that even mean? LOL

As far as I can tell, the only thing that remains to do is to right click my character avatar and leave the party. It should also be noted that I have to move to a new area other than the one that I am in before I am able to leave, and it is not possible to select just any new area either as the message 'you must gather your party first before you are able to continue' shows up. The unable to join message persist though - no matter which new area you move to. Logging out and in does not work either to solve this.

For me this is not really a problem since it takes a couple of minutes tops to move to a new area and queue for a new Domination game. The people that I left behind will now have to fight 5 vs 4 though - and this is an issue that occurs often at the moment, resulting in unbalanced games most of the time. I noticed that people mistake this error for someone that is AFKing and get upset about it - so now you know that it is likely a system error which is not the fault of the player that it happens to. Fixing or clarifying this issue asap would be appericiated as it would make these games a lot less frustrating to start up, for everyone involved.

-AFKers-

Sadly, they do actually exist. You can often tell by their gear (really low level) that they are not going to be of much use, haha. This is confirmed when they don't move out of the starting area once the fight starts. I have 2 suggestions that would aid in solving this problem:

-30 second activity bar: When a person is idle for longer than 30 seconds, he/she gets removed from the game without receiving any form of reward.

-Allowing people that queue to join as a replacement: From what I can tell, tons of people play PvP so what I am about to suggest would probably work. My suggestion is that you make a class for class system. What this means is that when say, a TR gets kicked from the game - he/she can only be replaced by another TR. I support kicking someone when they are playing EXTREMELY BAD (only moving forward to renew the activity bar for example), but it could also be abused if any other class could replace the class that got kicked (team leader kicking a TR because he'd rather want a Cleric, for example). Implementing a votekick in addition to a normal replacement system would also work.

-Imbalanced scoring system-

I cannot make sense out of the points system in this game. It seems to me that the way to become #1 is to just go for non stop kills because apparently you get 0 or very few points for capturing a domination zone. When you capture a domination zone +300 points pop up though, so it could also be that those points get divided across the team (60 points each?). Either way, each person that captures a zone should get 300 points. Atm, when I capture a lot of zones (basically what makes the team win) I Always end up on the lower end of the score table, and the people that basically play the the the wrong way (mindlessly killing people, doubt some of them even know how to play) get the top end rewards.

To further confirm the imbalance of this scoring system, I sometimes find myself doing 99% of the damage on an enemy with full lifepoints, then a teammate comes along, does the other 1% damage and all I get is an assist (+25), even when I finish them off myself. Like what the hell? Please, please review the points system and make it so that they will be given fairly in a way that the people who make you win the game actually get the top scores aswell.

That's all that I can think of atm when it comes to glaring issues that need a fix asap. There are a few minor ones like being injured after you exit the game when you've died (standing on fire doesn't heal the injury btw) but the main focus should be on the things that I've mentioned above. I hope to see these issues fixed or explained asap - the sooner we can start enjoying the PvP part of the game to its fullest. Thanks for reading, please comment and point out more possible bugs/errors etc if I haven't mentioned them yet and I will add them to the list. Cheers, hope this helps!

Being kicked out of a PVP game will almost always result in you not loading in when you re-queue

I got kicked out of a pvp group today, And i have not being able to get in PvP since, I never zone in.

Ahh that's strange though, because I didn't get kicked in the game before that. It just happens really randomly for me, my guess was that I shouldn't be in pause mode (press Alt to return) when selecting to join the game but I dunno - don't think that's what causes this error.

after a little testing i seem to have nailed down the Not zoning into a pvp instance to 1 thing, altho it may just be a coincidence. Being in a Zone in a zone.. For example, being in the PVP house while in Protectors enclave. Also did it while in the tavern

How about the opposite team getting onto the spawn point and spawn farming.

Ehh? This issue occurs even when you are positioned on the street in PrE :o
