Best way to get Astral Diamonds?

So double Astral Diamonds is very soon, what is the best way to do it? Someone said just do dungeons? I'm guessing at the end of the dungeon in the chest you get Astral Diamonds?

Do your daily quests, participate in skirmishes. Dungeons don't really give as much AD for time spent as skirmishes do.

I'm curious about this as well. The best way I have found to get AD is to do Skirmishes when it comes up as the hourly activity. What are some other ways to make AD?? I have completed about a dozen dungeons, with and without the hourly activity, and dungeons don't seem to give much AD. The chest at the end of a dungeon only gives items, and can only be opened if its the hourly activity.

There must be more ways than just dailies to get AD. I've been averaging about 6k AD / day just doing the few dailies that are easily completed. I'd like to find a way to get the 24 k rough AD maxed each day.

Best way is to farm higher level dungeons and sell the items on the AH. You can get far more AD that way and it is already refined, so if you really wanted you hit up to your 24K there as well.

Cool. I'll try selling more greens on the AH. I have been able to make some pretty nice AD through the AH so far. Haven't sold many greens though. I had hoped there was a way to farm them and not rely on AH.

    - roll Female Elf
    - Remove all gear - shirt pants - everything
    - do /dance emote
    - Beg other players for AD as a reward for the "show", and let them know that for the right amount of AD, you'll take it to the next step.
    - ????????????????
    - Profitt!

What's a Teifling? Is that like a different version of a Tiefling?

Just in case you're confused on the 24k thing... There's no limit on how many Astral Diamonds a person can get in a day through all means. There's only a limit on how many ROUGH Astral Diamonds (24k) a person can convert to Astral Diamonds in the inventory interface.

And of course selling items on the AH is not subject to the double rewards for this weekend but even so I'm sure you're correct that would be the fastest way to get ADs unless you're like me and are too impatient to mess with trying to auction stuff. For people like me it sounds like dailies and skirmishes (are queues fixed yet???) will be the way to go this weekend.

Thanks for the reply. I was aware of how the system operates but just worded that comment badly. I should have said that these diamonds you get form the AH are refined, and in addition to these you can get a maximum of 24K AD per day that you refined yourself.

If you are 60, skip this event, run Epic dungeons and sell stuff.
If you're not 60, skip this event and get to 60.

Basically, skip this event. Making 4-8k AD for an hour of time is laughable at best.

Hehe I suppose that's one way to do it! Unfortunately I enjoy taking my time, exploring the huge boatload of content available to us. 60 will be a while.

Still, there must be a reasonable way to get the 24k refine cap (without the double AD, even). After all, once the "free" AD from the founder packs dries up, the stuff we refine each day will be the only new AD coming into the economy. The auction house & exchange just recirculate the stuff that's already there.

I think Kiralyn is right once the amount of ADs used by founders gets used up the economy will stablise... but on the other hand i've been keeping all 600k and not using mine, just using the ones I earn and I imagine others will do the same.

Not to mention removes 10% of the AD spent from circulation due to its 'cut'.

The leadership profession has a lot of tasks that bring in ADs - if you keep at it and unlock more task slots, your rate of income increases as well.

I apologize for hijacking this thread. But I am brand new
and have some very basic questions about the game and I'm not allowed to start a new thread because I'm new.
I got invited to a guild, How do I guild chat?
Everytime I log in I'm greeted with a page of stuff that doesn't make any sense to me.
I figured out that one of the things on that page is to do with a daily quest. Finished one finally, now what?
You get 18 thumbs up for content, graphics, playstyle, and everything else but
You get exactly the same amount of thumbs down for not being Newbie friendly.
Please, at least let us post to ask questions, or have somewhere, easily found for us to read and get the answers we need.
Brilliant game. Neverwinter was always my favorite rpg of all time, just please fix the anti-newbie sentiment around here.
    Thank you,
    Armpit

    hit enter, type /guild <text>

That's one way. You can also hit alt, move your mouse cursor down into the chat window, right click at the bottom left to set the default so that you don't have to type /guild. You can also hit the little gear wheel at the top right of the chat window to set filters (I recommend turning off zone chat).

You can also switch tabs there, three are set up by default. you can also create more.

For daily quests, before starting them, go talk to Rhix,he's next to the astral diamond vendor one the corner of the market in Protectors Enclave.

The rest of that 'stuff' will make more sense once you've played for a while.

Check the wiki page for useful information, it's still a work in progress but there are some useful things there. http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Neverwinter_Wiki

    Thank you so much.
I figure if I can at least get guild chat to work, I can ask questions in there.
    Thank you again.
    Cheers,
