Do purple items only drop in epic dungeons?

Do most purple items really sell for AD on the AH or more like 1 in 1000?

Is there a site that lists the tier of items, item database or anything?

Is it advisable to not buy any items until the char is at level 60?
It seems drops so far are generally better than the stuff sold by seal vendors etc.

    Purple items only drop from epic dungeons/buyable with seals/buyable on the AH/buyable with level 60 glory. that's about it. there is no item database yet I don't think. and it kind of is advisable to not buy equip.. there is no real reason to buy it till 60 unless you are getting torn apart with your current equip.

    How about purple items that drop selling in the AH? Do any purples sell, assuming the price is reasonable?

    I wouldn't know if they sell or not. I do know that lots of people are being greedy with the drops in order to sell them though. assuming people do that, I would only guess that they do get sold quite a lot.
