There are already a lot of ppl joining Arena pvp just to stay afk and get the xp and glory at the end of the match.
Now there are also ppl spamming about this exploit (i think that this is an abuse of wrong mechanic of the game so an exploit)
Just some minutes ago on Beholder there were someone spamming che zone chat every 20 seconds about this exploit and how to take advantage of it

I loled, it's not the players fault if it take the same time to lose 3 game for 1050 glory as it take to win a tight game for 750 glory...
-glory for losing should at least be 1/3 not 1/2
-actual glory for participating not a chance to get a blue/green if you are in the top 3
-auto-kick on idle
-deserter penalty for leaving/getting kicked
but let's be honest here, there is a ton of stuff that should be way higher then this in the priority list
-player getting stuck in a group and cant leave without getting kicked
-player getting stuck in a group and cant even get kicked (auto-rejoin)
-Group getting filled up when someone leave (dungeon or PvP)
and I'm sure there is plenty more but that's what come to mind right now

Bad suggestion. Positive reinforcement always works better then punishment. If anything, there should be rewards for players *participating*, and a slight cherry on top for winning. Having a good fight, even on the losing side, should be rewarded, as this is what players should come for in the first place, and it would be better for the game as a whole as well.
Making only wins count would be demotivating in practice, because if you're not winning, you'd want to get out but probably won't only because of fear of an even harsher penalty. Chosing the lesser evil is neither fun nor should it be encouraged by design.
Other games have been there before, it's just cryptastic that they failed at copying.
Kick should be a vote kick system rather than only leader kick.
3 strike rule should be implemented, you get kicked 3 times in one week, you get a temporary PvP ban, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, something.
Glory should be paid out by point contribution. For example: For every 100 points of score a player has, they earn 10% of the glory your team wins at the end of the map. When player hits 1000 points of score, they'll receive 100% of the glory that is payed out for a win or loss. ie, if your team loses, you have 100 point score, you get 35 Glory instead of the full 350.
Should also be some sort of matchmaking system implemented. Some sort of rating system based on wins / losses. If the combined total wins of your team is 1000, you probably shouldnt be matched against a group with combined wins of 50 lol.
Or maybe Premade groups vs Premade groups only, Pugs Vs Pugs only.
Simply stated...this IS an exploit that damages the playing experience for others. Getting stuck in a PvP instance where one team is outnumbered because one or more players are just sitting AFK is aggravating (especially when one of those players is the group leader). While I agree this is a lower priority when compared to addressing true bugs, it is also a fairly simple fix; change the AFK timer for instances to 3 minutes and dump folks out of game. Also, add a 10 minute timer before a user can rejoin a queue after being dumped.
It is not that the Mechanic sucks. But more like the REWARD vs EFFORT in PvP is ridiculous. You got too much glory and exp. Lose or win. Not only that, but for a CW for example; the PvP gear matches or beats T2 gear.
Makes me wonder what they actually tested in closed beta..
Not giving any reward to losing team, you'd see a lot of people quit early when at least one person assumes the match is lost anyways. There needs to be some debuff and/or deserter penalty in the game or at least a vote option to surrender as well as a vote option to kick an afk player. Giving total kick control to one party leader was a poor decision.

this is not an exploit, just a fail mechanic that they need to fix, everyone knows about this
If you abuse it is an exploit same as the foundry exp map
Not even close to the same....
And if theyre not the leader? Should they leave? And continue to let leeches get what they don't deserve?
The simple fix is "Put it all into contribution rather than having a pulse on the battlefield."

That won't solve anything. There are people who really try and still lose. Should they be punished for the lazyness of others as well?
