While most topics about classes go about builds and strategies, i would like to make this topic about people's experience in regard of bugs and QoL aspects of the Control Wizard.
I will try to make a list of what needs to be done or fixed i do hope the developers will look into this. I am only level 50 at the moment, but this is my list so far.
Quality of Life
I struggle with the fact that with some feats and/or abilities i have no idea what they do EXACTLY. For example; the class feature "storm fury". The description states what it does, but it does not state the value of damage. I had to find out the hard way by speccing into it. Now seeing it did only like 30 damage, i found it a waste of a point and was forced to respec. In a way, this feels like decievery.
Another thing that needs improvement is the display of the feat procs and enhancements. For example; The Renegade feat "Reaper's Touch" it is really hard to determine whether you are in the 20 ft zone or not. In Chaotic fights it where damage numbers fly all over the place on your screen it is just too hard to see. My suggesting for this is to change the color of your At Will abilities if you are in the 20ft zone. For example; Magic Missle gets red instead of white/blue when Reaper's Touch gets active.
This also applies for the proc effects like Eye of the Storm. There should be a graphical effect attached to it. Like some arcane lightning emitting untill the buff ends.
Bugs
The Renegade feat "Chaos Magic". It could be just me, but i have not seen this feat do anything in a fight so far. I see no text appear or graphical indication. For the ones that have this also is it just me or this feat not working?
Sudden Storm not critting. Is this intended or a bug?
Entangling Force not doing damage to boss types. bug or intended? Repel does not knockback but still do damage to a boss.
Thanks for your time and am looking forward for more feedback and suggestings from the players and developers i hope.
i hope that pathetic class gets nerfed to the ground along with the rogue.
we should probably just get rid of dps classes all together and make 6 hour fights where tanks just hold agro til the mob becomes exhausted.
anyway, only thing I see so far (level 30) is that I cant tell on bosses who are immune to immobilization effects, how many stacks of chill they have. A lot of the ice spells depend on how many stacks of chill are on the target, but I cant see if or how many it has. Are these bosses immune to the chill effect, hence making most the ice play useless?

I think you can see the chill stacks, it is just that they disappear really fast. And yes, chill is worthless against bosses, all of the benefits are negated.
I'd really appreciate information on the specific impacts of a lot of these abilities, but I think the derth of info doesn't class discriminate.
Chill stacks on dungeon bosses simply has little to pretty much nothing on the duration.
They went the easy way and made bosses "immune" to chill stacks because it can slow and freeze, but now an ice specced CW gets no damage boost from it either, and whatever other numerous effects ice gives to an ice built CW.
Any form of CC can't be used on dungeon bosses, and some quest bosses, Repel counts as a CC hence only the damage applies.
Entangling Force, same thing, due to it being a CC, it won't work on bosses, and since it doesn't work, no damage (It does say it chokes the opponent so makes sense.)

Sudden Storm, not sure, rarely use this one.
