Dev Response Requested Please: Need information on Server Transfers/Merges

Cryptic,

I completely understand how busy you guys are and I am really pleased with how the game is going right now but the community and myself could really use some information.

Are there plans to allow for server transfers any time soon? Or is the rumored server merges actually going to happen?

Due to some miscommunication issues half of our guild ended up on one server and the other half on another server. We have all emptied our Founders bonuses on the wrong server and some of us have bought premium items (bags, pets etc.) with our characters so we would prefer not to reroll since most of us are already 60.

Any information is much appreciated and I would happy with a paid option to move my characters. I just hate having to reroll the same class again and lose all our premium items.

    Nope, because this thread is asking for a more specific answer than 'sometime after launch.' :)

    Oh, sorry; I thought you wanted an answer NOW. I didn't realize you hoped this thread would still be on the front page in a few weeks when they're ready to give a specific answer. :rolleyes:

    The link is good, just wish we could get some sort of ETA is all. Glad to see a concrete answer, never actually saw an official post on this.

    From past experience, they usually have multiple shards during open beta and merge them at the time of official release at the end of open beta. Communication-wise if your guild is strung out across multiple shards, you can use the custom chat system. Check out the guide in my signature.

    its a rather sad slip for the oceanic community.

    If you searched Oceanic server you ended up with Dragon...

    If you searched Australian server you ended up with Mindflayer.

    Quite the split for a small community.
