I have a situation where some guard encounters spawn and are supposed to follow the player. I have them set to follow, with a speed of 5. They weren't following the player in preview mode, so I assumed I had to publish to get the follow to work. I published and it still wasn't working.
Are there particular ways I need to set up follow to get it to work?
I haven't been able to get it to work, either. Guard spawn just sits at spawn despite being set to follow. Someone said I had to set the parameters to a dialogue prompt or marker trigger, but I have no option to add any parameters to the follow order.

So far, no. Only NPCs have the option to Follow correctly while Encounters don't have the same parameters listed. Really hoping they add that soon for people that want to add a couple battle buddies for sequences, but as it stands you'll have to add an NPC of the character that disappears whenever you reach a battle, and have the Guard encounter clone pop up and fight in its place, then disappear when the battle is done. So, three steps instead of one easy one.
I got one of my non-encounter NPCs to follow me, but she apparently either can't leave the room or go up stairs, not sure which one is stopping her since both exits of the room she is originally in has stairs. To get her to follow me in the first place, I set the parameters to make her follow when I reached a certain goal. I first tried to set it to when I reached a certain dialogue prompt but that didn't seem to work so I switched it to an objective completion (after I finished a dialogue with her) and that seemed to work... until we got to the stairs. I'm not sure how to fix this or if it's even fixable at this time.
I set the guard that was suppose to follow you on a patrol around the route where the player will most likely take, and I'm now having him warp to aggro'd mobs like instantaneously. Pretty annoying.
