I did not like the combat in Farmville . Did I fill up their forums with complaints ? Did I start petitions to get the game changed into a dungeon crawler like I wanted ? Nope . I quit playing and found a game I liked . And they did quite well without me .
If you don't like NW , it isn't going to change into the game you want . Save yourself some heart ache and except it for what it is , or move along .
Every game isn't for every player , well maybe Sims . If this isn't the game for you , Thanks for trying it out but move on .

If you don't find the game to your liking, just move on.
You do know that people that are complaining about the game want the game to succeed and not fail? They complain because they want to make the game better. I agree that some of the complaints are really unfounded though.

That's not universally true. Indeed, people who are complaining about the store and proposing business models that have been proven not to work are actually trying to make the game fail, whether they know it or not.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev

Then they need to stop complaining and start critiquing.
What business models is that? I would happily spend money on this game if the bags/slots and everything else didn't cost an arm and a leg.
Best example: everyone who says that the game should charge a subscription instead of having a cash shop.

No I think a majority of them want to turn this game into the last game they played. Changing the game doesn't help . I had huge hope for FE , they said they would make their game and not cater to vocal dissidents. But no the changed , and what happened . The changes drove off the people that would of stuck around . And the ones that wanted the changes ? Once a new game came out they left anyways .
My hope is for Space Citizen to be what it claims and stay that way .But we shall see .
Now here , cryptic has a market model that works without a zillion subs . I'm hopeing because of that foundation they can stick with making the game they want . Not make the mistakes of D&DO and ' balance ' the classes. D&DO originally said they wouldn't adjust classes because of PvP but they eventually did .
So even if people are trying to help by complaining , they are not . Let the Devs make the game they want .

While not the best wording the OP does have a point. Small changes can be made. People looking for drastic changes, need to take a step back and evaluate just how ludicrous some of their requests really are.
Scout Tragold - "I haven't lived this long by being brave... it's just another word for stupid."
I'm not saying change the core gameplay but if casual players like me think the prizes are too high in the zen store then we won't spend a dime. I mean come on 10$ for a bag? I might spend that once but then I would never ever create another alt to level and buy even more stuff. Believe it or not casuals outnumber hardcore gamers by the hundreds. I love this type of gameplay and I have been playing non stop all open beta whenever I have the time.

By the tens of thousands if not more actually. It's been proven that casual players are who micro-transaction games are marketed to. It is by design and thus WAI.
This is exactly what is wrong with the gaming community, the influx of facebook and mobile device stupidity make people think comparing a MMO to Farmville is a valid comparison. Please do us all a favor and go back to angry birds or post this on twitter or something.
The thing about suggesting a change to a company's business model is you need data you don't have in order to form even the sembalance of a decent argument. I don't see a company taking any suggestion too seriously if the only argument is "because I don't like it".

This, and conversely the fanbois who want all complaints silenced are campaigning, unintentionally, for Neverwinter to end up with the massive pile of other mmo's that failed. The people who bother to complain are the ones who see the potential and still care enough to voice it. It doesn't take much to discern them and theirs from the unfounded complaints, but trolls on both sides muddy up any attempt at rational discussion.

Aren't they, though?
