I dunno if I thought of looking and the question just sort of sparked in my head a few seconds ago.
Is the ability to add lore entries to the player's journel available? It would be sort of nice to have a few scrolls laying around our maps like the audio logs in Bioshock that add a different layer to the stories we're telling that the player can just mash the J button and read over if they want to. Or maybe if Cryptic hasn't planned on letting us do that, I could just make them interactable and have a short dialogue tree.
Has anyone else thought of this?
Just a thought that I had a few moments ago.

I think the only option is what you describe -- using interactable objects and letting the player remember the info on his own.

Bah humbug! I thought as much.
Cryptic, take note and add this to your "Hey guys, put this in the Foundry, to make the people who are working hard on their own, unique quests happy" list.
In all seriousness, I hope the editor becomes less restrictive in the future when the real release is out. I could list a few other things that limit creativity within the Foundry, but that seems tacky.

You can check out what I did in my quests. I put some hidden objects around the maps and made them interactable. They give some flavor dialog and then an "Accolade" scroll so you can remember them. But the scrolls all disappear when you finish the quest. Nothing is permanent.

Genius! When the servers are off maintenance, I'll have to lookit. I'm guessing all of your quests are listed in your signature?
A lore entry in your journal would definitely save bag space in this case, though.
Yes, they are the two in my sig. The best way I found to do it was create 2 copies of the same object and put them on top of each other. One is a "Contact" and so it starts a dialog. Then you can put as much text as you want. Have that object disappear when you reach the dialog prompt. The second object is an "interactable". Set it to appear when you reach the same dialog prompt. Then set it so when you interact with it, it gives you an item. You have to also create the custom item which it gives.
Not super elegant, but the best I could do with the current tools.
