More available deities? Save costume option?

1 - I know that choice for deity is only a cosmetic one, bu could we have not only good deities? It's very limiting and boring to not have options for Bane, Cyric, or others. Not everyone wants to have only goody two-shoes characters, even in heroic campaign.

1b - Or at least if the game is limited only for goody types by the design, allow players to have "no deity" choice. So character can have this field of character sheet completely empty and not conflicting with deity written in his/her bio.
That's it - no deity, no icon, no title. Better than having wrong deity forced.

2 - Game totally needs "save appearance" option in character creator. It resets custom appearance every time when character is visiting alteration mage and recreating unique look from the scratch every time when you had tried to change haircut or face markings makes it very inaccessible. Actually, i don't bother with appearance change because of it.
NWO is made on the same engine as Champions Online and Star Trek Online and both of those games do have options for saving and loading character appearances.

Several of the ones listed are neutral. What you lack are evil, which some (actually many) games do not allow. There are pen and paper DMs who disallow CE alignment as well (not as many these days, but a few). Its the DM's choice to allow people to be evil. Personally I always took alignment as (order/chaos crossed with selfishness) and allowed people to be selfish (evil) or not as they saw fit.

I would like to see the evil added as well, just saying, many listed are at least neutral.

I'm thinking about LE ones, as a DM I've always discouraged taking CE alignment because it's the one most unplayable in any group, but I think all deities should be available.
There is already Cyric facial tattoo available in game.
Restricting characters is acceptable in home run campaign but really shouldn't be forced on people in MMO. It will be ignored by players wanting more freedom anyway, no real point in forcing it.

But given how all quests are good and heroic, I'd settle with option "no deity/hide deity" at least.

I would like to see more dieties added.

They have tattoos for Avandra and Cyric; They have an NPC mention Ilmater by name. But none of them are in the game.

I made a cleric for my first character, and none of the choices really jumped out at me.

Maybe, hopefully, they will expand the list of available dieties and backgrounds and let players have a free reset on those two things.

    But save appearance? Absolutely.

How could they not include such a thing.

Even if the sliders had a numerical value then you could write the numbers down and make notes on what you were using for the base or what position in the grid the colors you were using had.

But as it is? Trying to reproduce an appearance is a nightmare.

STO has a good system, and i'd like that here, who knows why it's not here. Only the devs i guess.

Evil alignments will probably never be in game, i'm old enough to remember the bad times of D&D is satanism and been a player then. I got enough trouble back then that it was an added annoyance. Companies are just too risk adverse to even bother. I also just know it would lead to "I'm just exploiting/trolling/scamming/ninja looting because that's my alignment!" and it's bad enough in any game as it is.

I just came across a piece of lore for the journal that mentions several "popular" dieties... A few mentioned are not in the game (Asmodeus, Gruumsh, others), but the worst part was that they didn't mention others that are.

Tymora sprang immediately to mind, because after thinking about it way too long, that was what I ended up choosing for my cleric. Now I discover that she isn't at all popular. :(

"Oh, you think religion is your ally. But you merely adopted religion; I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a god, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!"

Er, sorry. Couldn't help it. In all seriousness, I'd like to see them add more choices. I support this. But at the same time, I realise it's probably not a high priority for the devs...

this is a bug, but there's a workaround. just press esc and exit the alteration mage, then activate her again and the editor should now show your current appearance.
