What is there to be looking for?

I had a blast leveling to 60 my cleric and I'm about to start dungeons with my friends (+possibly starting new char), but I have a question.

What would be the "end-game" for this game? I see myself being entertained for a while leveling few characters to 60, grinding with my friends for those epic items, but it seems like there are just not enough items and/or dungeons.

I mean, in D3, they have learned so fast they need something like paragon levels to keep people replaying and rewarded in some way. But I'm afraid I will be able to get everything from this game really quickly and then just leave it because there is nothing else to do.

Do they plan on adding more items, increase level cap, difficulty, dungeons/zones, expansions and so on? Because the gameplay of this game is just really good and I'd like to stick with this game for a bit longer if it is possible.

Thanks

edit: A good thing for example I can think of would be rewarding people for completing epic dungeons with fewer and fewer party members, obtaining according rewards. Or is there something like that implemented?

Personally i dont care about end game, when i reach max level i get bored with the character for some reason, i Leveled some toons in world of warcraft, and i just made a new one, i expect to do the same with neverwinter, end game is well, end game, for me when i maxed out my toon thats it, time to make a new toon.
I do think they will make more content, at least i hope.

Yes they do, but we are still in OB mate.
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Hey buddy, I don't really know - but I'll tell you that I have the same concern haha.

At the start of lvl 60, I was so excited to farm for stuff to put on AH to get AD to buy that epic stuff...but just a few hours of PvP-ing I got all the PvP gear (which is really good for my tank spec) - and now I have approx 500k AD from selling gear...and I don't NEED any of it. All things (save for the CRAZY EXPENSIVE stuff like enchantments/purple pants (lol)) on the AH are actually WORSE than the PvP gear. Basically there is no reason for me to play any more - save for the fun of it and actually completing all dungeons, T1 and T2.

I hope they introduce new items - they seem to be so few.

I know for purple boots, they all have the same name with a different suffix/prefix - like sturgeon's boots of respite/youth...etc., which is basically [this stat] and [that stat] OR [this stat] and [that other stat]

    Which is pretty **** imo....

I realllly hope they add new items, and then eventually more dungeons lol

just so you know most free 2 play games that weren't originally P2P stays in open beta. that because mmo's are never finished. there constantly changing and improving. all of perfect worlds games are in open beta minus Torchlight 2 because it's a buy 2 play game.

as for the OP. the game just launched and your already lvl 60 when the next content update isn't til 3 months to a year. this is why i never understand power leveling at the start of a new game. also lvl 60 may not be the final lvl cap a year from now. developing new content takes time. so if your tired of the game already either reroll a toon, or comeback in 3-6 months to see whats changed.

I know that OB is soft launch, but game launched 9 days ago and someone want new content? Thats what i meant.
Many existing things right now, are broken.

Thanks, that is something I might do.

Just to take a note, I absolutely not power leveled anything. I just played the game, because I enjoyed it too much. I soloed all quests with my cleric build and I happende to hit 60 like 2 days back.

Been playing neverwinter a day after "soft launch" and iam just level 22, i dont care if it takes me a year to reach max level, what i do care is how much fun i will have till i reach max level.
I read alot about end game, in every mmo, and it all seems the same: what to do after end game, what can you do when you maxed level, etc, etc, so i can only conclude that end game is the least important part in an mmo, therefore i dont care about end game.

I'm ok with new content being added later. I'm developer myself so I know what it takes to polish everything. That is why I asked if they PLAN on doing more stuff for this game. :-)

There's a reason it's called END Game. The goal of Cryptic and any other MMO publisher is to prevent "End" Game. But it's near impossible to keep up with the demand.

I recommend you explore the Foundry. Not just playing them, but creating your own stuff and sharing it. It's a whole other level and perspective of NW most players will never bother to experience (the authoring side, I mean).
