What if you could buy mounts for 5 bucks?

What if there were say 100 different mounts, all kinds of stuff, spiders, horses, cats, wolfs, centaurs, anything really and a mount only cost 5 bucks.

Would you pay 5 bucks for a mount?? Would you buy several Mounts??

I will not pay 40 bucks for a mount, but i would pay 5 bucks for a cool mount, I bet some people would by 10 mounts or even all 100 of them.

you could have cool outfits for say a buck, trust me plenty of women play this game and they would go "shopping", grab a pair of red pants with star pattern, the silk pink shirt, the hat, now my character looks unique, only cost me 3 bucks.

Instead of selling a few things for 40 bucks they should have tons and tons of items for a buck each. why not add a feature in the foundry to let people design mounts, clothing, stuff that has no effect on gameplay but adds a cool factor.

Sell stuff cheaper, have a much larger selection I say!!

A basic tier 1 horse costs 500 Zen (ie. $5) and is account wide, the three 500 Z horses have skins not available for gold.

You want something different or better? Pay more.

They've said (during the closed beta) that they want the more expensive mounts to be rare and feel special, something that will not be true if those mounts only cost 500 Zen.

I was going to get a 20 dollar one but it seemed like a waste, plus i needed to re-spec:( dyes, transfer zen for astro diamonds and so on. However if you trade 100 zen which is 1 dollar for about 35,000 astro diamonds you can get a horse for like .75 cents its about 20k in astro diamonds. No its not a good horse just the ones for 5 gold vender but its only about .75 cents. I will say mounts in cash shops are very disappointing. WOULD love to have all kinds to choose from even if they were 10 bucks or 20 bucks but the lack of choices and 40 dollars for a mount is rather irritating.

It's not when it's the slowest speed. You shouldn't be charging arm and a leg for speed. Just skins. Speed is basic functionality.

Yes I guess its a lot of money for a one time buy for every character you make/have. If its one character or the max at 50. And the game has only been open to the public about 2 weeks ago. They have more to worry about before filling the shop with vanity mounts.

Sounds almost like the excuse they use in STO. Lockbox ships are "special" and "rare" but you see them all over the place. They only cost more because they know people will still try to get them.

You can upgrade a Tier 1 horse into a Tier 3 using Rough Astral Diamonds, those don't cost money but I'll admit to get enough to get the Tier 1 -> 2 and then Tier 2 -> 3 upgrades without spending money will take a considerable amount of time.

Yeah, Zen store brought mounts are account wide so if you have lots of alts the price is not that bad.

So what happens if a account wide mount is upgraded?
will it then be upgraded for whole account or only for that char?

I'd bet char only. Considering how expensive those mount training books are you should just buy a rank 3 mount instead.
