Also if you are on a team with even just 1 afker, you most likely wont win a 4v5 unless your enemies are new players and are just chasing people around trying to kill them while you cap points. This causes the rest of the team to eventually just stay in the spawn camp.
Everyone on the AFKers team will just stay at spawn point because it gets the match over faster. After a certain point you know that it's unwinnable with out a full team so you just wait it out.
It sucks, and I am one of the last ones to stay at the spawn camp but after running into 5v1 fights over and over I too eventually give up.
The funny thing is how everyone goes in to button mash mode when they see even just 1 enemy. its 5v1 and I get so many encounter powers and multiple dailys popped on me at once. Just kind of funny they all feel the need to use everything at their disposal in a fight that they are guaranteed to win anyway.

i think those AFKs are there only for daily AD.
Im doing PVP only for AD and some combat glory for 14k combat glory companion.
Every time a new MMO releases we get same BS. I wonder if devs live in their own bubble on some island where they have no outside contact and are unable to learn from mistakes of past MMOS. How hard is it to release a MMO with auto kick feature? i swear this is 6th MMO release in a row where i see this happening.
This game definitely feels like it has some potential and it's just extremely disappointing that we haven't gotten a response back on this issue yet. I have been lucky to not have this happen to me very often (I queue with my 2 brothers so it lessens the odds), but when it does and even if I am even on the "lucky" side (full team) versus the unfortunate side (afk players) it's boring to me as well... Hopefully we get some attention soon because this is starting to become an even more common occurrence.
yea the PVP in this game has huuuuge potential. I hope that doesnt read as sarcastic as I think it will. I am serious though the pvp has really great potential.
Just a little balancing and some other problems that need to be nipped in the butt. AFKers being one of them.
They fixed the smoke bomb bug so at least we know they are working on things.
I agree it is boring to be on the winning team and its just frustrating and a waste of time ot be on the team that only has 2 active people.

Bots are in there afking because you can farm glory that way and then sell the Glory for AD and then sell the AD for real money.
PvP in this game was a complete and total afterthought and now that the Foundry exploits are tied up people are moving on to the next thing to exploit.
I leveled to 60 on Foundry and did PvP matches (not afk but with no gear holding back my team) to get my gear and now I'm better geared for dungeons than anyone else with virtually zero experience on how to play my alt. Kinda beautiful on how easily they set up the game to be taken advantage of.
This is why we can't have nice things.

There is also another situation that needs to be remedied, and that is where for whatever reason you start the match with disconnected people, or you kick the afkers, the game still doesn't realize to fill those last 2 spots... Would love to get some dev feedback on these pvp/pve issues.

Yes, there are also some improvements we want to make with the queues regarding Dungeons and Skirmishes as well, though some of the PvP changes we want are safer and quicker to implement.
Why are you guys ignoring the hundreds if not thousands of posts about threat/threat management/agro control/mitigation?
Can you let us know if this is how it is going to be or what exactly is your guys' vision for this stuff?
Because everything they say can and will be quoted, especially if the fix isn't realised as such, especially the following
Give an estimated timeframe for the fix and fail to deliver even with a good reason.
Give an example of how it's planned to be fixed and the fix being completely different.
Call it a bug then realise it's WAI.
And various other things.
Realistically it's easier on them if they don't comment on things they're unsure of until an actual fix is ready.

I may not be considered by most the BEST PVP Warlock on the server but, I am the most HATED amongst them.
Theirs another PvP issue i saw last night... Clearly we were against a pug and some of them were not happy with how the match was going, one person was competent enough but the rest were either AFK or just bad. The competent player obviously wasnt happy, but was apparently the random group leader...so he kicked them all out, denying them anything. Sure if they were AFKING maybe they deserve it but whats to stop any leader in a pug from doing this? Even if they're winning, maybe he can kick them all out before the end

I'm dead serious though, if you don't put pressure on them immediately about pvp stuff, it is NOT going to get fixed. As much as I love this game, from Cryptic's past track record it took them YEARS to fix certain imbalanced powers in Champions Online despite people asking for help with it on a daily basis.
Ditto, i know a lot of people have stupid horror stories about games 'ruined' by pvp changes and how they'll only make things worse blah blah, but thats a community problem too. Everyone needs to give some valid sound feedback. PvP, even when its been silly, has been extremely fun so far. Last night we had a pre-made vs pre-made match, we were getting stomped so hard in score almost everyone on the enemy team had more score than us, their CW had like 21 kills for being such a beast, but we STILL won the actual match through strategic capturing, and thats fun, even if a CW can out-tank and out-dps my GWF at 80 foot range.
I reported someone today for purposely going AFK in a PVP. He set himself on auto run against the wall in spawn so he wouldn't disconnect for being idle. Stayed the entire game in spawn. An exploit I hope comes with a harsh punishment so more people don't start doing the same.

I got matched up against a BOT and his alts. They idled the entire match.
