I have a cleric and to be honest, the amount of healing I do in comparion to the amount of damage done to players is a joke. I see players get hit with 500-600 damage and then the HOT I have thatr starts with 52 and only at the very end heals for 400 or 500 is worth very little.
combine that with the aoe that heals the player for 80-100 and youll easy see how much worth the healing cleric is in PVP.
Noteworthy is that I am just level 20, it might pick up later but right now it seems like the Cleric is just a waste of space, imagine if there was another rogue instead of the cleric, that would actually make a greater difference.
at least thats my views of the cleric currently, at least my cleric.
clerics at later lvls start heal for alot more. i would much rather have a cleric on my team than another wizard, maybe not so much a rogue.
their big heals start coming once they go into their talent trees, as they're highly divine power dependent. your healing beam in divine maybe heals for as much or more as the damage dealt by say, ice beam.
even at lower levels, surely youve met those GWfs that run onto the point with a cleric healing them, and their hp doesn't even seem to move even with your entire team focusing him.
ideally though, a team only has 1, as with two you might be lacking damage and cc. there are only 5 slots after all.
in fact at later levels, clerics are the best targets as they heal themselves for 40% less, this lets you wear them down while theyre standing still channeling beam and if they're going a full heal build, they have little cc and no knockback.
aye, I notice that very much, I get the entire team after me as soon as I show up on the map cause I am an easy kill. that makes it less fun for me to play PVP. they should remove that the penalty from clerics, let them heal themselves equally as much as the cleric heals others. or give them other pvp tools like stun.
take the rogue stun for example, 6 seconds, if 2 or 3 player target me, and I get hit with one of those stuns its game over basically. I can't even run away fast enough.

I kinda am playing DoT's only cleric in PvP atm just DoT and run... DoT and Run..... I kinda love it... As i tend to just get two shot my rogues or CC to dead by CW anyways
Take it from a 60, Cleric is the strongest class for PvP. 2 Clerics on one team = 100% win rate, every time, unless one of them is full <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>.
so your saying "hang in there until level 60, then it gets better", ya?
