GPU throttling

So I've got Alienware computer..as you say 'best plays on'...

But my experience is totally different.

As title says I would describe it as GPU throttling. As I play the game longer during free day I start to experience serious loss of performance (once I've been trying to follow people in dungeon with 1 fps)
This keeps happening during longer sessions (like 3 hours+)
Basically what it does, it blocked my GPUs some how, so no matter what I did (other game, benchmark etc) I wouldnt get back full performance with restarting my system.

I'm using the same drivers for few months now (latest officially released). It doesnt happen any other game.
One more thing, I realized that it might have something to do with other beta game - dota2.

When i start dota to main menu and playing Neverwinter it start will occur. (it didnt with Diablo 3 for example)

So this is something special I guess, maybe anyone else experienced it?

I'm using Xfire - 6990Ms.

Please dont post BS like dont run dota etc. this game is still in beta, therefore I feel like I should report this.
I'm willing to test it more if you are interested.

Similar thing happened to me so what I did was opened up my laptop, took out the fans and heatsinks and cleaned it up. If you don't want to open it up then take a vacuum cleaner and run it over the vents.

i get the same type of problem during dungeons or skirmishs

in STO i dont get it for some reason.
it can be possible cause STO is more stable in terms of system stability

but then again i run the game in very low graphics, mainly cause my graphic card is only 128mb but yes i do notice the problem in long time playing during the day

@ fakatik - it has nothing to do with hardware (or overheating) as far as I can tell. I play other games too (graphic performance dependent and it all works fine) (checked by GPU-Z as I wanted to see core clock MHz etc) if GPU would be throttled due to high temperature, eventually it would cool down and performance would recover, but not in this case until restart
    so maybe some driver compatibility?

@ dreadnoughtw88 didnt really paid attention when it start or where...what was strange to me it totally killed my GPUs, I started other games, resterted Neverwinter and I cant get it back working without restart.
So my guess here is graphic card driver..

update it has nothing to do with other game, been playing now for several hours now...

secondary card is at 0% (load) and primary at 50% (load) despite the fact I'm playing at max settings with FPS like 10-15 now and wont go higher..temperature is fine
this happens only while playing this game.

P.S.: marketing - best plays on Alienware....drives me mad >:(
