Just decided today to get it, totally worth it. ( Mathematically couldn't really justify the $200 one, I realize you get what you pay for, but $200, eh, I'd rather order more steaks. )
If you have the extra cash to play with and enjoy the game, I'd say invest in it.
Spend less time complaining about shop prices and more time improving your salary.
seriously i appreciate the pack also, would just like to have the starter pack for every character also, and the purple rring be something that come with the tittle not with the ring because at lvl 15 bye bye purple ring!
Founder back a week ago, already pissed by cryptic ''no roll back'' decision

It's a slippery slope, cynic that I am, but PW has direct aim on your wallet.
As do all companies that aim to profit, which bothers me not. I can afford it, and this is the only MMO since Realm Online to hold my interest for more than 72 hours. I will gladly treat it with an equation that equals to $15 to $20 a month of payments for my entertainment beyond the initial base $60 purchase.
I am also gainfully employed, which is a factor I understand many do not share with me.

The Guardian pack is a very good investment for a longterm stay in Neverwinter. Basically because of the pets, they are account wide and very good (the Dire Wolf is better than the Hero of the North Panther and who doesn't want an armored horse?).
Also you have the Greycloak weapon for fast-leveling alts, as a GWF player I think that was one of the most valuable convenience assets that allowed me to enjoy the class more and keep my atention.
Characters: - Titania Silverblade, the Iron Rose of Myth Drannor (Lvl 60 GWF, Destroyer) - Gwyneth, the Cowardly Cat Burglar Drowling (Lvl 60 TR, Saboteur) - Lady Rowanne Firehair, Heartwarder of Sune (Lvl 33 DC) - Satella, Sensate (LvL 44 CW, Renegade, Non-Active)

Doesn't that Greymane weapon thing become useless after 15 except for the skin? Does it level with you or something? I just got it today and was curious

Yep, becomes useless somewhere between levels 15-25. But helps quite a bit at the start.

Yes that was my experience too. I was using the weapon until lvl 24 or 25, but up until about lvl 20 I definitely had the feeling it was "overpowered" and was making questing go really quickly. Up until around lvl 20 the stats on it are going to be WAY better than anything you will obtain in-game.

I don't even want it anymore. I want my money back. I've outleveled pretty much everything I wanted it for and they still have no responded to me once.

Yeah: I ate my big mac too, and now I can't eat it any more. I will go give it back to them somewhat used and demand my money back just like you.
Lo, the mighty Oak: Just a little nut who stood his ground.

After you find a better weapon, you can pickup a new Greymane "enchant"(or jem or whatever it is in this game) from the foundry vender and throw it into the better weapon. Pretty nice if you ask me.
Just bought it too. I still think it's a tad over-priced. Didn't like the coloring of the mount, I think the stand-alone horse (the one with red) in the Zen store looks better. But it's about the same price as buying a new game, so that in the end justified it all for me.
If you want to compare it in value to just buying 6,000 zen, you get a 110%? speed mount, value about 3,000 zen, and a direwolf companion, about 1,500-2,000 zen, and 600,000 AD. That already is worth over 6,000 zen. Then you get all the other stuff, too.
If you don't want to get a mount or companion, then yea, I can see how just getting straight zen would be better. But if you're going to buy a mount and companion anyway, I think the Guardian Founders is a pretty good value.
I'm in 2 minds about this too but the thing you forgot is the Dire Wolf is for all characters. The zen store companions are all single character only if i'm correct
I don't think the pack is worth it. The weapons are OK to start with but very quickly become junk. If they levelled up with you, that would be a different matter. The mounts and pets are OK, but not at the price they charge, which works out at around
I did a cost over time analysis of both World of Warcraft (which I played for 7 of the last 8 years) and Star Wars: The Old Republic (which I played for 8 months) and found that with both games, [Total Cost]/Total Months Played] = $20/month.
I bought the Guardian Pack for $60 and I am very happy with my purchase. I primarily wanted it for the Direwolf companion, as my nickname is Wolfrat (Wolfy for short). I thought the companions were the same as non-combat pets in WoW, so I was delighted to find my Direwolf fighting for me! I gave him a different name with each of my characters, and this feature was also an unexpected delight.
The only other thing I plan to spend money on is Character Slots (and possibly new classes or races, if those will cost money). I will play the game for at least 4 months (until the release of Splinter Cell Blacklist on Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, and possibly longer). It seems I spend about $15-20/month on each individual videogame I play, be it PC or Xbox 360 with Xbox Live.

A tier 3 pet and horse for every alt I ever make justified the Guard pack for me. Then again, every game I play brings out the altaholic in me. For those that only play one character it may not be worth it.

Same for me, I just got the Guardian pack a few days ago and the mount/companion alone is worth it. I'm also an altaholic and the companions only being 1 character in the zen store is what persuaded me to make the purchase.
My main is 27 so the weapon is useless for her but the speed comparison of the founders mount to the pc gamer mount is more than worth it. I wish they had a stables tab like they do for companions so I could actually have them at my disposal. Also, having the wolf companion for when my wizard is off training and vice versa is really helpful.

It won't be your last purchase to enjoy the game fully.
I will probably spend much more money over time. The fiery mount in the Zen market looks cool.

Ok, thanks for that input Maybe I can vendor it for some cash or just discard it if it cant be sold.

Why should I spend $60 on the founder's pack instead of buying $60 worth of zen?
There is no reason anymore. Back in Beta-Days you got the betakey. Now there is no use for it at all (besides the lvl1-mount).
Thanks, that was my feeling. The early access is past, the cosmetics are meh... the title are...for what exactly?
So the founders pack is a BAD deal in my opinion, just buy 6000 Zen and thats like over 2,000,000 AD.....

I may purchase it but still pondering
