Hi!

A buddy of mine has a GWF level 45 and struggles killing anything (especially bosses) solo.
Since I dont have a GWF, are there any skillbuilds/guides our there?
I cant find anything in this forum (although I admit the forum is confusing, to say the least).

Thanks,

    Hey there.

Lvl 45 (Pirate Skyhold) is a bit tough for a GWF since there are a lot of AoE caster mobs and undeads bosses. After that, things get easier because you're getting your last Paragon feats, which increase your DPS a ton.

The current viable build for GWF is full DPS using a Destroyer setup. Building tanky doesn't pay off as you lack true mitigation mechanics and your damage unless optimized is minimal.
    Characters:
    - Titania Silverblade, the Iron Rose of Myth Drannor (Lvl 60 GWF, Destroyer)
    - Gwyneth, the Cowardly Cat Burglar Drowling (Lvl 60 TR, Saboteur)
    - Lady Rowanne Firehair, Heartwarder of Sune (Lvl 33 DC)
    - Satella, Sensate (LvL 44 CW, Renegade, Non-Active)

    Hi:)

This would be a good place to start if you're looking for builds:

There are currently two varieties of GWF dps build, based on the Destroyer and Instigator paths respectively.

Destroyer is the only way to go. I had smooth sailing leveling from 1-60, only died twice outside of dungeons and that was from falling off cliffs. I did it in about 6 days real time, not gameplay time. Encounter powers should be single target CC powers like Flourish or Takedown, Restoring Strike, and when you can get it, the 50+ point encounter power, I can't think of the name atm. Left click is your basic attack that you start with, and right click is your AoE master's strike. I use the Pantheon ult style jump as one of my daily's, but I use it defensively; i.e. if I'm getting mobbed and need to delay a few seconds to use a potion, or if there's a big aggro problem in a dungeon to buy the healer about a second while everything is prone. My other daily power is the final one, it just does ridiculous damage. With my crappy gear (3 epics, 1 blue, rest greens) it crits for about 25k.

And gear for power, then crit, then everything else.
