Grandmaster tailor not 50% speed as states

It reduces the time by 30%
Made the effort to get 2, after crafting both, I used one on ornate cloth pants.
The time is 1hr before I added the asset of grandmaster tailor, after adding it shows as 40 mins, now I am no maths wiz, but 50% of 1hr is 30 mins.
Why have an asset of 50% if it is actually only 30%?
I can't find information about crafting anywhere to check if others have found this, because there is no crafting section on the forum.

As someone/dev/moderator made an example, if you are going 50 miles at 50 miles an hour it'll take an hour to get there.
If you go 50% faster (75 miles per hour) you won't get there in 30 minutes, you'll get there in 40 minutes.
