I've just updated and released my first quest.
The story is not very well telled because my english is almost ridicoulus.
I think you are going to find some grammar error and in this case please tell my how to solve.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
//First Release of this quest.
//Probably the translation in english is not the best, but i hope is understandable.
//Difficoulty and duration:
8/10 - 25 min | alone (better if you go with companion and a couple of pots)
6/10 - 20 min | 2
5/10 - 16 min | 3
3/10 - 13 min | 4+
//Story
Sometime the Whisper's Castle appears in the sea. And when this happens the peoples of the near villages start to disappear. The Archmage Kane is building his ghostly army or is just a childrens scary tale?
noone knows. But when the castle appears everyone remembers this story and sleeps with a candle lightened...
Comments
Fixed some costume bug.
Little mob reposition into Whisper's Castle and Whisper's Castle (2 Floor)
The placing of enemies is pretty smart, especially the ones who attack you from behind. There were a few difficult fights, but some challenge is always good.
Yes, there are quite a few typos here and there. Unfortunately I couldn't rate/review the quest because I accidentally clicked away and exited the map. However tomorrow I will give it another try and be more careful so that I can rate it properly in-game.
The starting dialogue in front of the castle's gate was quite funny. The replies were well chosen and it seemed very odd that I was talking to a ghost and joking about "it" flying.
I also liked the ending.
My suggestions are mostly regarding the atmosphere and interior decorations. First of all there needs to be some spooky music and scary background noises. I know that there is a music bug right now.
Secondly, the rooms are a bit empty and the castle is quite linear. You could add some new corridors - some dead ends, some leading into other rooms. Just for exploration and to make the castle design more ... credible.
I have seen many book shelves all over the place and books on the floor - you can make some of them readable, add some text, some stories so that players who want a bit more exploration can read them.
What to write in these books? Maybe some scary stories, journals of various people who once "lived" in this castle or something like that. In my opinion that adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Another thing that can be added is a good amount of traps.
All in all it is a fun map, challenging and with potential. Like I said, tomorrow I will play it again so I can rate it.
"The quest for the Book of Ignum"
"I have seen your future. I have seen your end"
Thanks for all the suggestions. This will help me a lot to improve my work.
Adding some secondary rooms and working with interactive books (and traps :P).
i've already added some sounds but you can't here them due to the famous music bug
Version 1.2
Added a new level: The heart of the Whisper's Castle, where the story of the castle is revealed.
Added some explorable rooms and alternative routes.
Traps! (nothing more to say... traps!)
Added some interactive object for give to the castle a little bit a identity...
