Blackdagger Crypt Keys - WHat are they for?

I've picked up a few of these now, and have no clue what they're for, and the wiki's are currently spectacularly useless.

Anyone have any idea?

    I think they are just trash. I've looked too and asked in game and no one seems to know.

    They are to be sold on the AH to people that think they are nightmare box keys?

    Just random items to fill up your inventory space so that you'll be FORCED to buy $10 bags.

    Because that's how evil PWE are. I read it on the internet so it's true.

    They use to open the bonus loot chests , since no one goes that way ... well your stuck with them .

    maybe they had a use once but that got thrown out

    Hmm. The one run I've done of the crypts, the pug I was in ran all over the place. Plenty of side rooms full of chests, minibosses, etc. Never ran into anything that wanted the keys. Where are these bonus loot chests?

    not there no more ? , was in BW2 . didn't do it in BW3 or 4 .

    Well, we could easily have missed somewhere, I don't think any of us had done it before (at least, no-one seemed to take a decisive lead :D)

    They are totally safe to sell, discard, collect or tell ghost stories while jingling them around making spooky ghost pirate sounds.

    They used to be required to open the doors and other goodies at an earlier point in the dungeons life cycle. One of our more tricksy trapsy designers just double checked to make sure nothing was still lingering.

    Good to know. I ran with someone a while back who kept asking if anyone had them, and we needed them for something, so i've been keeping them until now.
