Purple loot drops from dungeons bind to character?!

I just killed Karrundax in the epic dungeon and got a purple piece of Hardened Dragonscale Armor for my GWF (not an arms or waist item like the dungeon description says I should get, by the way), and when I looked in my inventory at it, I discovered that it was already bound to my character. Since this is a downgrade for me, it's utterly useless and made the dungeon a near total waste of an hour. Is this a bug or are purple items from dungeons supposed to be bound? There are 3 reasons why I run dungeons: for fun, for better gear, and for gear to sell so I can make some extra AD. I'd rather not settle for 2 out of 3...

    I think yesterday people were complaining that level 60 epic gear drops from bosses was BoE and so then it wouldn't be impressive because people could just buy it on the AH instead of having to do the time and have the skill to down the boss...

    Good, it'll stop people from need rolling on other classes items just to get quick AD.

    Who cares if gear is "impressive" or not? I don't give a flying **** how someone got their gear. I'd just like access to it, and access to the AD my spare gear could get me. And the Need rolling issue can be fixed in other ways, like not using a Need/Greed/Pass system.
