I just uploaded my foundry quest a few hours ago and cannot find it on the list. Some guy told me it takes 3 to 8 weeks to show up? This can't be right... or is it?
You got trolled by that guy. Quest is accessible as soon as you get confirmation with in-game mail (10-15 minutes usually). If you didn't get mail go to Foundry, Edit quest and on "QUEST" tab check its status (top-right corner of banner). If it's not published than hit Publish button again.
Remember you have to wait in Foundry until dialog box disappears. Then quest should be "Currently Publishing". If it is, feel free to leave Foundry.
Also, why you cannot find your quest is because search engine is messed up. You have to search it via shortcode (NW-XXXXXXXXX thing) in BEST tab. Code is case sensitive and have to be typed in first textbox in search. If you want to find campaign it has own shortcode beginning with NWS-

I published a quest today and it took about 15 minutes to actually publish. After that, it appeared in the searches within an hour. I made a couple updates to it and published again with the same results. I have heard that there are some issues with searches, though. Be sure to jot down the quick number for your quest so that you can try searching with that. You'll see it on the Quest Selection screen after logging into the Foundry.

first off I didnt know I had to remain in the foundry editor when i hit publish. What I did do; was after hitting publish and I saw "upload complete" or something, I decided to jump onto a character...then I received an email in the game; which told me that my foundry mission has been uploaded....it also gave the timeframe too like 2minutes.
Meanwhile I have submitted my item on May 3rd but no one has reviewed or played???? I was watching some videos and how it works is after you hit submit for publish it immediately goes to "needs reviewed"; certain players in the game have nominated themselves "testers" of foundry missions. After 5 people have played/reviewed it then goes into the "new" tab; where the rest of the world can play it. Obviously from there after so many reviews/plays, perhaps Cryptic will see it and decide to "spotlight" your quest.
However the purpose of my question....double publish. After re launching the foundry editor after having received the email in the game; I have a button that says "publish" on the exact same mission I did. Something like "hitting publish finalizes everything". I'm thinking that means you cant edit it whatsoever??
So if a person creates a brand new mission, publishes it, waits for like 50 reviews with no pathing/bugs....then they can go back and hit publish the last time meaning no more tweaks can be made?
Finally as a last question. As I've said I submitted my quest May 3rd and when I launch the Foundry Editor there are no reviews, which makes me think no one has played...so as the poster said...is it possible that it may take the above timeframe before I see any reviews?
lol heres an odd thing. So I logged in and tried to do a search for my quest; I even typed in the 'letter codes' but nothing would pop up. I thought...well maybe the search function is still down. So after doing odds and ends in Enclave for like 20minutes I came back to a Job Board and lo and behold my quest showed up (ya know the one I was searching for, mine!!) Also though it kinda showed it under the tab "best" even though no plays have been made. And the irony is that the name wasnt even in the search bar....
its like I searched for it and you come back 20minutes later and it will appear. Weird, very weird cause I tried researching when it showed up and it didnt show again LOL

- Thank you very much, i was searching for my quest for all the morning and couldn't find it until i took you advice. I opened the confirmation mail so that it's easy to write the quest Code in the search (In the BEST tab) and it worked instantly. As you said the code as : NW-XXXXXXXXX on the BEST TAB. Thanks again.

So I'm gonna say that "searching" is still down?
