Change Item Appearance

Hey,

i just used the feature of change item appearance and it worked. but i'm wondering why the item the appearance is used from is used for it at all? i mean it is not in my inventory anymore.
is there a way to reverse this transmutatons anyway?

/e: the preview window of the change item appearance feature isn't working at all. it doesn't show anything except the background

    my preview window worked fine when I did it. The item you're using as the appearance item gets destroyed to change the look of the item you're keeping.

    I like that we can do this, but why in hell does it cost so much **** AD? I'm usually not one to complain but it's little things like this that already have me looking forward to a replacement game.

    I don't like the part that the item which is used gets destroyed :S
    I just "wasted" a Murderous Jester's Helmet now, just too see how it looks coz preview doesn't work for me.

    Btw.
    Since the used item gets destroyed
    -> If u use the transmuted item now as ressource for another item's appearance will it have the look of the original item or the item it was transmuted to?
