"Unlock rank 3 of all previous powers!" - GF

While leveling my GF, I decided to try the "secret" power which requires the maxing of all previous ones. Turns out, it's broken and doesn't unlock, so now I'm here with 15-20 wasted points.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Is it rational to expect a free respec?

    Yes, it happens to everyone, because there's no "secret" power. Read it again, more carefully.

    It says that once you've spent enough points (20, as indicated by its placement in the list), you will be able spend points to upgrade your abilities to the third tier.

    I really don't see how any of what it says is unclear.

    I wouldn't hold your breath on that free respec.

    I think you misunderstood the spell. It simply tells you that you can now unlock rank III of all spells. It's not supposed to give you a new secret spell.

    Not your fault. I also thought the same thing the first time I saw it.

    The tooltip really needs to be reworded.

    My friend thought the same thing as you. When i tried telling him what it really does he got mad and threw his keyboard across the room because he thought i was lieing to him. (don't know how that helped his anger) Then when he reread it and realized he rage quit for about 3 hours.

    I did same but you don't have to rage because you will get 90% of all your skill on rank 3
