Hi guys, i am a tabletop (pencil and paper if you wish) veteran and an avid gamer! Loving the game!

That being said i am having a small problem, i cant find a way to DON'T get over leveled... :(

As a proper roleplayer i DO WANT to make the dungeons at its proper time in the storyline, but when that comes i usually am over leveled or ALMOST over leveled, i already stopped doing dailies, should i stop the crafting too until i reach level 60? (level 52 atm) should i stop doing some quests? That feels like missing content too.

Am i the only one with this problem? Why the game dont let you make a dungeon if you even a single level OVER its recommended level? :(

Other than that i am having a blast with the game. Cryptic rox, BUT i have this over leveling problem in every cryptic game, i am doing it wrong? I am not supposed to make all the quests? Champions online was a hell in this aspect too. lol

I agree, it would be nice if it took longer and required you to grind just a bit. Not too much, but maybe require 1 or 2 dungeons or foundry quests to keep up your level.

totally agree. I queue for dungeon, and it takes like 30mins to get into one while I was waiting for the dungeon I do the quests. And once I get into the dungeon I'm level capped for that dungeon and can't do it anymore.

Yeah its a bit of a problem their leveling content windows are bit too narrow. I am surprised they don't let you do the older content by leveling you down temporarily to do it.....they do that with champions and star trek online....they did it with city of heroes.

You can do the dungeons still at higher level....you just have to physically go there....and cant use the que. And if you want to get a party for it you have to do it the old fashioned way......kind of makes their system not that good.

I agree, leveling speed is a joke. Thank goodness for the foundry, especially now that exp. has been nerfed. I plan of spending a lot more time there. But, in all fairness, it's not really a serious type of game, it's all about small chunks of action, and some casual dungeon runs. I think if you accept it for what it is, which is a super easy console game ported to MMO format, it's just fine. Trying to compare it to a real MMORPG is probably a bad thing to do.

Are you joking? I have 2 chr above 40 and 1 almost 60 now. None of them are above the lvl of the zones. You must be very slow or farm too much. As it is now, I have been underlevel the entire way - and I've done all the quests, but very few dailies.

actually athrogathe, I have been entering zones at almost the right level and leaving out leveling them.....
If you are not above the level of the zones....then you are skipping a lot of stuff....contacts seam to give missions weirdly when you least expect it.

And nope not farming....simply doing the missions....oh and the occasional zone events.

I have 3 characters...one is almost level 60 the others I just cant seam to want to play much...I also have been doing a lot of auction stuff.....so my leveling might be slower then most.

But for me I see that I am out leveling things....especially when I get the final mission in an area that is always to go to some dungeon and find it is no longer accessible in the que.

I found I can still do them....but just have to physically go there.
(the silly part I am surprised there is no exploration perk for doing just that)
Going to those places its interesting how much time and effort the developers put into the places outside some of them...and to think a lot of players probably have never been to those places except via the que.

The dungeon aspect is just weird, yeah. First of all, we don't even know when we are too high for the que and secondly, the level cut off for dungeon finder is too low imo. So yeah, I agree that we out level the dungeons too fast. This is also a big issue since the dungeon quest only comes at end of a zone. For instance - when you go from Clock Tower zone to BlackXXX something, u suddenly go from 16ish to 20ish. I believe the first mobs are level 19. It is this gap that I am talking about - when I refer to me being underlevel. I finish a map quite ok level wise, but maybe too high for the dungeon que, and then in the next map I'm on par or below the level of the first mobs.

I think working on a more sophisticated and dynamic Que system should help alot.

While leveling my rogue, most of the time I was 2 levels below the zone I was questing in. No, I didn't do any daily quests, dungeons, much crafting etc. I did, however, do all the regular quests in every zone. So no, I was never over leveled for anything, quite the opposite.

Every time I get to the Blackdagger section after doing all the quests leading up to it I end up without any quests to do until I grind up from level 18 or so to 20. And I'm consistently lower level than the equipment I find (or receive as quest rewards, which shouldn't be level locked, but that's another issue) so I don't really think the leveling is too fast.
