The game's good, but if there's one aspect that detracts heavily from the experience for me, it's the lack of health regeneration after battle. I don't like relying on just potions or those regen shrines you see every once in a while. I realize that the game's most likely designed this way on purpose. Some people may be OK with it and others probably like it this way, so it's up to the devs.
As for me...I would like to be able to sit or have some kind of meditation skill that regens health, because as it is right now, this is kind of a game breaker for me.
The game is designed around pot usage. I think you'll just have to embrace that this might not be the game for you. It's unlikely they will change this.
At lvl 16 you will be given a quest to pick a free npc companion that will follow you around and help.
One of them is a cleric girl who will heal you for 10% hp every 30 seconds. It's as close as you will get to health regen and works pretty well.
It's D&D, you obviously never played D&D before. In fact people complaining about this stuff dont have any idea what they are talking about. Remember D&D was out before any of this and this is a D&D based game, Obviously. If u read up on D&D and try playing it u will understand this game this game ALOT more

Didn't know about the cleric companion. That could work.

Portable altars sort of provide the effect you are speaking of, I believe. They make a "mini campfire" area for resting and regen.
Pot, you mean then p2w not f2p since so far barely make enough coin. 1.5 silver for potion and don't drop much coins either for that matter (2copper) lol. Say go for it on those who CS or can put up with that, mega low coin drop is CS ploy to obtain items. There are plenty others, feels like 70-80 and original boardish style single player game that got bumped to mm, remember warcraft did that also, lol. Anyway no regen, poor coin drop, potions costing more that is even sensible, If the game play itself was as seemless the videos, may of had chance

Except, this isn't ****ing D&D. In fact, if you're playing this game you probably don't play PNP DND. Other than having DND slapped onto the name nothing else applies. It's an MMORPG. Not a pen and paper dice rolling game. This is not Neverwinter 1 and 2. You don't need to read up on DND to understand this game, it applies the same mechanics as every other mmorpg to date. Everyone defending anything stupid in this game on the premise that "that's how it is in DND" is beyond stupid. I have three level 60's, so no I'm not qq'ing because I cannot level. I just understand the huge difference between PNP DND and a ****ing MMORPG with DND slapped on the name.

...or it is a bridge between the two...?
I play both and there are things in this that make me smile as I know that it is similar to PnP.. but there are times when I can't play PnP but want to, so this is a nice way to fill that void..
They haven't just 'slapped on' a DnD logo.. they have done their best to merge the two worlds.. if that means POTS instead of OOC Healing, then get used to it because that it what DnD is about (other than healing surges, but we don't want to confuse you now do we...)
