I have been alternating between Cleric and Acolyte companion, at low lvls acolyte was weak but now at lvl 20 it is really good. My question is what is the best runestones to pimp her out as she doesnt do direct dam are my options limited?
My reckoning is the Eldritch which boosts the chars stats - which would be Defence and Regen, not the best option but i cant see any better.

You want to get her lifesteel as high as possible. the higher her lifesteal the better the buff she places on you. Gearwise ill be looking for anything that has higher lifesteal/def/hp. Lifesteal to make the buff better, and def/hp to make sure she can survive.
As we have all seen they love to stand in the fire...sigh.....
Yeah, she rarely pulls aggro because she does not do any damage. So she doesn't really need more recovery, health, or defense. So may as well transfer some of her stats to you with Eldritch.
In theory we could try giving her +recharge-speed to reduce her 4-seconds and 7-seconds buffs, but this hard to test as she doesn't cast the ablity exactly on the dot like it's written. There are so many unknown factors with companion, that doesn't follow logic, such as being able to equip level 60 equipments even at rank 1.
While we're on the topic of life steal stacking. I can't really tell if it's working between my main doing more damage, and her ranking her up. (only +5 - 15 life steal increase recently).

Im not too sure about the effects of life steal stacking yet either. Its possible it will be a huge boon, or it could only give us a small percentage increase. It should increase her buff on us and sense its the only stat that will effect her (besides def stats) its her "highest" priority. Now if we find out it does nothing to the value of the the buff she gives us, than yes well need to switch to just using her as a stat stick.
I wouldnt say she doesnt need any hp/def/recovery, while pretty much all mobs will ignore her, bosses tend to have either aoe abilitites or abilitites that randomly target other players/pets, and they tend to hit hard, which is why we move out of the way. pets on the other hand dont, so anything that lets them handle more of those extends their effective ness.

Gear that has Life Steel provide a 1 for 1 bonus to the buff she places on you. If she has 300 life steel, her buff provides 300 more life steal on your character.
Not sure how great that is sense she provides 1k w/out gear and how little you can get with 2 rings and her offhand item. I also wasnt able to find a way to get lifesteel with runes, so might need to make her a stat stick.

Err... she got 1k lifesteal without gears? At what level? My Acolyte is level 20 now and she only has 175 lifesteal and that is from a stone on one of her gear. Is there something that I am missing here? Should I have a high lifesteal on my character too? I have a TR level 34 and my Acolyte is level 20 and with 175 lifesteal, I only get like 40-80 life per hit. Is that right?
