As a member of the LGBT community, my quick pass through the Moonstone Mask didn't show any male courtesans. There is already past lore that there were you can even sleep with one, so I found this odd... and also a great idea for a quest. So for my first quest, I decided to take that topic head on, but in what is meant to be a light and humorous way and a twist on the whole 'damsel in distress' thing.
Given that sexual orientation is (and rightfully so) in the ToS, where is the actual line on that? I'm assuming I can't use 'HAMSTER' in my description (which is fine) or make direct sexual references (which is also just fine). But can I even make mention of male prostitutes? Is this an alternate Neverwinter where everyone is straight?
I realize I probably should have asked these questions earlier as I'm pretty near the finish line on where I wanted to go with this quest. (It's my first one and didn't want to do anything too crazy/complex). I've got some general game play issues to work out but also quite a bit of dialogue to write. So want to get an idea on where the limits actually are.
If anyone wants to play test, it's NW-DHQPDNBZM .
Thanks.

I remember seeing a LGBT guild. Does your quest specifically mention that the romance is same sex? After all, there's no way to tell what gender the pc is, so any romancing of female courtesans could also be same sex. Given that Cryptic sells in the Zen store a male courtesan outfit, I think telling a tale with a male courtesan is fine.
Hey there Levitateme! In one of my quest ideas I was toying with the NPC was directing a PC to a place called The Earthly Delights Inn and Bathhouse. What I eventually had to use was male or female companionship. Everything else at the time was being flagged as inappropriate lol.

I don't think same-sex will be an issue rather than sex being the issue. Careful what content you create. While it's ok for two people to beat, kill, murder, disembowel, and behead each other, two folks enjoying each other's company is frowned upon and gets flagged as inappropriate.
i watched game of thrones last night and the word they used to describe the HAMSTER knight was "sword swallower, through and through" or you can use less innuendo and have the classic "confirmed bachelor"

I was able to find the quest in the foundry catalog, but when I clicked accept it did not get accepted. I can accept other quests just fine, so something's bugged (not something you did) with quest acceptance.

Grrr!!! I simply can't stand any notion of romance or smooching!!! How dare two people try to share love and affection?! This is D&D!!! A game where the whole family can enjoy gore, witchcraft, demons, and good old fashioned thievery. How dare you people try to ruin such a pristine game with your "love"? Go play the Sims if that's what you like..
P.S. - I was being sarcastic, in case you had trouble telling.....

The rule is quite simple. No adult content. Straight or not doesn't matter.
Just where the line is, very difficult to determine. I wouldn't think there would be any issue with having a 'rescue the princess' type quest where the princes turns out to be male or TG. Just be very careful to not include anything that could be considered 'explicit'.

Oh weird. I just re-published (after adding some more dialogue to some of the NPCs. Hopefully it will work now...

Yes, I'm trying to avoid anything explicit, but I don't think it is possible to make this a G either with some of the innuendo that is pretty much required by the subject matter. I'd probably rate it PG or PG-13 at this point.
Thanks for all the feedback folks.

Killing hordes of demons, slicing enemies to half, decapitating traitors and animal cruelty are for kids? Okay, maybe I live in this part of the world, where they at least try to raise kids normally xD

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking of as well.
