$60 and $200 packs worth it if I don't care about cosmetics?

Or am I better off just purchasing my mount, bags, character slots etc via the cash shop?

Well, take a look at them and work it out for yourself, as you are the only one whom can decide if it is 'worth it' or not. :)

Hero pack gives you everything the Guardian pack does, except you are given a T1.5 weapon the moment you hit 60. Something you won't replace until/if you ever see Castle Epic.

Everything else, for Hero and Guardian apart from the XP booster and starter gear, is gimmicy crud IMO.

Worth it? Nope, you can live and get by without the epic weapon at 60. You can live and get by everything cash shop-like in this game to be honest. The only thing you may need is a specific companion to boost DPS or assist tanking/healing. You can always invest a small amount of Zen towards that or exchange it for AD.

If you don't care for cosmetics then get the $60 pack, the $200 is not worth it.

The (major) things the $60 pack gives you are:

    600K AD (currently somewhere around 1500 ZEN = $15)
A max speed mount for every character you ever make ($30-40)
A companion for every character you ever make ($20+ PER CHARACTER otherwise as the other store bought companions are per character not per account)
    1 extra character slot ($2.5)

So it is definitely good value - around $67 worth if you play a single character and another $20 worth for each additional one.

By comparison the $200 pack gives you:

    2M AD (currently somewhere around 5000 ZEN = $50)
A max speed mount for every character you ever make ($30-40)
A companion for every character you ever make ($20 PER CHARACTER otherwise as the other store bought companions are per character not per account)
    2 extra character slot ($5)
1 Twelve slot bag for every character you ever make ($6 per character. Note that if you play at endgame you will most likely want to replace this eventually, but it is still very nice to have.)

So about $105 worth if you just play one character and another $25 for each additional one. Note that the extra bag perk of the $200 don't make up the difference in value until you get to around 20 characters.

TLDR: Discounting cosmetics (and starter / Epic weapons), the $60 Guardian pack is very good value even if you only play a single character whereas the $200 is only worth it if you plan on playing at least 5.

Wow, if the mounts are that expensive I'll probably get the $60 pack then. I didn't realize that they were so pricey! Is this really the case?

Hypothetically, I guess trying to grind in-game to buy max speed mounts (without opening your wallet) is going to take quite some time - per character even?
