Heya,

Is there a cap on how much xp you can get doing the foundry quests, ive been leveling through all the quests people made for the most part and now i noticed that all the foundry quests stopped giving me xp..?

Thanks!

They are putting a cap in place to stop the exploitation of people cluttering the foundry with xp farm quests is my guess.

Yes, it would be nice to know what the cap is for quests or if it is based on XP.

I'm not in game yet but I don't understand what's the *****ing about ppl making levels to farm exp. I mean if they want to do that to get quick xp what do you care? No one is saying you have to do it. I don't get why ppl get so stressed it only shortens there experience of the game

Just a warning they do not want you level farming, nor do they want people making foundry quests to do so. They will take proper action against it (their words).

I am not trying to be snide but, where do they say what they don't want us to do? I would prefer not to do stuff that is not intended so, please point me in the direction of the guidelines for foundry quests.

The only thing (obviously) Cryptic does not want you doing with the foundry is the "ogre in a box" scenario where the mobs can't fight back. That's exploitive. The rest there has been no word on, the 500 zombie hulks, etc. so until I see them post otherwise, it's fair game.

The cap is pretty simple: after 4 hours, no more Foundry XP for a 20-hour period. At least, that's what Cryptic's CEO stated during a GDC interview.

Interesting... I still think a cooldown timer on Foundry missions would work better. My GWF is going to level to 60 on Foundry missions since I am sick of the story. Soooo... yeah, guess that is not going to happen.

1H timer, or 2H timer per mission to slow folks down. Should not be too hard to do... they already do it in STO with the Q'd things (which I am surprised they don't do here).

A timer is a perfectly logical way to start. I do not see any problem at all with implementing one. The only quest in the game id like to do two times in a row is the clocktower. lol

Then they need to update the foundry ToS, because there's nothing in the ToS to prevent creating maps for just that purpose.

Yeah... I'm calling BS on this, myself. The devs already said that you were allowed to play as you want to play with the foundry. Now they're going back on that, and installing some crappy stamina system where we can only have fun on our own terms for 4 hours. I kind of had a feeling they'd pull something like this, just to force us into playing the game on their terms. Frankly, I haven't seen jack wrong with the majority of farm quests, save for the ones using exploits. You can just barely get blues from it, and all the best gear is locked behind their own created zones. So what the HAMSTER, devs?

This really hampers my desire for this game. I was just starting to enjoy the foundry, too. Now we have PWE flipping a trip because people are enjoying content produced by other players, and gasp, they want to force limits on you so you have to play by their terms. Sigh.
