Ok so far i have been loving the game, I have been playing a guardian tank lvl 31and have nothing to complain about.
So i have been keeping my eyes on acolyte of kelemvor since release, from what i understand it from reading the info text, when the acolyte is out it buffs you with 10% less damage taken. Here is the thing the buff lasts 2 seconds yes 2 seconds are you serious. This got to be the biggest joke i payed 2000 zen for this???
it cast it max once every 20 sec so = 1% reduced damage....
anyway tought it was funny
edit: also the life steal buff it gives requires life steal gems. But the acolyte got offensive compaion slots and the life steal enchantment requires defensive! mayby you should take another look at this companion before you sell it to pepole for alott of money.

I got mine to 25 hoping it will be buffed later. I cant see them keeping these cash shop clerics so sucky . I am hoping when we can upgrade it to purple she will get a 5% heal like lvl 15 white cleric which is more useful than the Zen one.
I had the Acolyte of Kelemvor in the closed betas, and it sucked then. I hadn't saw where it was improved, so I avoided it after open beta started. I'm glad I did, now.

Even the wiki say's to save your zen on this one. Glad I read the wiki before I brought it.
And if we're starting a thread on companions to avoid...the shield from the diamond store is also worthless. The thing hovers out of range of enemies and only seems to attack if an enemy hits it first...something that happens rarely. If it buffed my survivability in any way this might be ok...but it doesn't.
Its utterly worthless...unless you see one for sale in the AH in which case, I'm lieing...buy it!!!

Yes the thread on companions over in the class forum suggests this cleric isn't good either.
Acolyte of Kelemvore - Blue quality - Leader - Female Elf - the acolyte will place a ward on you at times that will reduce incoming damage by 10%. She will also give you a life steal buff. Still not worth having over a cleric companion even with the greater quality. Life steal and damage reduction still don't compete with a clerics healing ability.
So others have been underwhelmed by this one as well.
