Trying to use the Foundry since yesterday has been an exercise in frustration. Every two or three seconds it will become completely unresponsive for a second or two. Textboxes will have the cursor jump back to the same place every time this happens, making it impossible to write in the Foundry, forcing me to use Notepad and paste stuff from there. Playtesting is equally bad. It'll stop responding as often as mentioned above.

I can't work under these conditions. Even making tiny updates to previously published quests makes me want to tear my hair out (and I'm bald!).

Cryptic, something is seriously wrong with your Foundry servers. If they stay this way I'll just have to throw in the towel. I can't make any new quests like this. It's bad for the blood pressure.

And before anyone mentions it: No, the problem isn't on my side. This is a server-side issue.

Right now, I can not use any of the menu boxes on the foundry. If I want to make an enemy encounter disappear (despawn) after a dialogue option was met... I can not do that currently.

Hey Tilt, I edited a map of mine and republished earlier today and didn't have any such issues. I believe that you DO have a problem but I wasn't experiencing that here today.

If you have mouse issues, hit CTRL+S and save the map, that should fix the cursor bug.

keep in mind, its BETA. If you play you can and will encounter bugs. Its sucks, but best you can do is provide the best feedback possible and give them time to fix it. There are work around for many things, and problem solving helps alot.

I encountered a lot of issues lately too. One map I spent 3 days on is now unstable and starts shaking when you get to certain areas. Even problem solving on deleting rooms, replacing them, etc hasent worked. So I could be looking at losing a lot of work. Its the nature of the game... sadly.

I think just make small maps, figure out the editor before you get too crazy like I did. lol

It might depend on the quest. Editing the Lanaar Legacy gave the issues mentioned above, while A Hidden Blade has lots more lag which is shorter in duration. There I'll get up to two lag spikes every second. In some ways that's even worse, and it makes it completely impossible to write anything in text boxes. Had to write in Notepad, then click the mouse in the textbox, hit Ctrl+A and Ctrl+V as quickly as possible.

Dude, I've been using the Foundry daily since early March. No need to tell me things I already know. ;)

the drop down menus seem broke, but the options are still there they are just going behind the menu. If you scroll the option box to the bottom of the menu and select it you will see the choices. You can just hit the drop down and move the cursor down and pick a selection even though you can see the drop down menu selections.

How many details are you up to on the map. (bottom left menu) I got a map up to about 1200 and had some lag, but it wasnt that bad. Did you try rebooting and such?

I'm nowhere near that amount of detail objects, though The Lanaar Legacy has more detail than A Hidden Blade. Regardless, this happens on ALL maps and all parts of the Foundry for these quests, even on the simplest of maps. Rebooting does not help, and as I said, it's been like this since yesterday. The problem is NOT on my end of the network.

I will say that my Harvest Fayre has some serious lag issues playing it every time now. It is also a quest made in alpha. But you are saying even new quests do this?

You could make a new account, level to 15 and try and make a foundry quest to see if it is the quest or not. Yeah, I know...
