Unable to invite friend to team

Gives error message "inviting failed" or "character not found". Know I have the name right, we're sending tells back and forth. Are there level restrictions or something else that I'm not aware of for making teams?

I have also experienced some odd behavior with team creation.

I cannot invite friends from the friends list via right click or the button at the bottom. When hovering over the grayed-out button at the bottom, I get a tooltip saying "you are too low level to join a team". This message is there, despite the fact that I am almost level 20 and despite the fact that I am currently teamed with another player.

Inviting them by typing their name manually in the "My Team" tab works, however.

No, I know he's on the same server, we created the characters together. Will try the "My Team" work around tonight.

There's a way to change servers? Yesterday I had the same problem that I couldn't invite friends to a party without using command line (/party_invite name@handle). When I checked the Social window it showed their location as "Neverwinter" instead of the zone they are in. Today it's working normally.

Same problem here. Tried deleting and adding again, tried typing in name in My Part, didn't work. How do you use the command line?

Is this cause by your friend choosing a different shard during character creation. If so is there a way to change shard?

Update: Apparently the very first character you make doesn't always go to the server you select. His first character was on mindflayer, even though he'd selected Beholder. Strange that we could still chat though.

Agreed, there needs to be a way to change shards/servers. My friend and I were playing the game separately and got our characters around lv 23-25. Our intention was to join up and play together after that. Now we can not be in a party together because we are on different shards. We had no idea what the shards meant when we created our characters. I actually thought it was a guild, or deity or something like that. Now we are stuck on different shards after leveling up our characters. Seriously, there has to be a way to switch shards.

    Anyone?

    Thanks all
