Question about tomorrow's downtime.

Will there still be tomorrows scheduled downtime or will you be taking care of that during today's unexpected downtime? Back to back downtime is kinda bad form but understandable given the issue at hand. However I'd like to see server load capacity reduced and Q times increased to reduce some of the server load.

Nah the login servers are back up and they are probably rolling out starts on the rest of the systems now. So we can play a few hours then they will take them down for the maintenance to apply the patch.

Right now I can get on the launcher and sign in but messes up after two minutes of "connecting to server"
Has anyone given any kind of heads up to how far along they are in fixing the problem? It would be nice to know around what time we could start playing again.

On the facebook page they said it has something to do with a hardware failure. After they plug-in the new hardware they should be able to start booting things up.

Update: Thank you SO MUCH for your patience during this outage.

We have isolated the hardware failure and we are slowly bringing back all services, step by step, to ensure there are no more unexpected networking hardware issues.

The portal-wide beta test launch of a new game is an extremely exciting time for us and we thank you again for your continued patience and support as we work out the issues during this testing period. Be assured that we are absolutely committed to launching an excellent game and would like to thank all of our committed players during this time.

We'll have new hardware in place and us up, shined and secure, soon as we can. Thank you for being amazing, supportive players and helping spread the message while we get things resolved. We will keep you up to date as the situation progresses.

    Thank you,

    The Perfect World Team

    From Facebook....

"We have isolated the hardware failure and we are slowly bringing back all services, step by step, to ensure there are no more unexpected networking hardware issues. "

"Hey All - We are making positive progress on the issue but still have some remaining tasks to complete before the issue is completely resolved. Hope to have good news for you soon!"

Both posted a tad bit over an hour ago.

Ty nightelf34 for the info. Not a big twitter fan. Wish they would put all this info on one page instead spread out over them all.
