Every time i try to patch, it will crash to a blue screen. It will not happen when i patch for STO, or CO, or any other of my MMO's that i got installed just Neverwinter. Is anyone ells having this problem.

    I got the same problem
    - i start up launcher (tried with admin and withoud)
    - client starts patching
    - couple mb's downloaded then my whole pc crashes
-after a couple of trys (with crashing) the client won't cause crashes anymore and i get a ''error code : 31 a hog returned an error while trying to read.''
-countdown and repeat of error message.

reinstalled game multiple times, tried files from torrent and direct download.
nothing modded don't think any patches been installed since it was a clean install.
tryed ''disable on-demand patching'' (link from google said it fixed the problems for them) no result.
    tryed with safe mode aswell

on a side note, i haven't been able to succefully launch the game yet.
    added attachments with logs.

hmm think i just fixed the error by reading the debug by pressing ctrl c while the launcher was open.... it said there was an error with loading F:\Users\Public\Games\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live\.patch i renamed the .patch map to .patch.old and it immidely created a new map. after it had done this it immidely started patching and the whole game is up to date, gonna try loading the game now.

will edit the post if it works

Edit #1: game launched completely to character creation (didn't go futher)
    so possible fix:
    -locate Users\Public\Games\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live
-rename .patch to .patch.old (you add ''.old'') it will give you a warning that you're changing the extension hit yes.
    - launch game launcher and it should patch up

reason for renaming to .old is that if it might go wrong u can always put the old map back and so revert bk to the original problem.

i hope this fixes it for you guys, good luck.

I'm having the exact same problem. I try to patch, get BSOD, then when I try to load again I get error 31. I haven't been able to load the game and play it either. :(

I'm also getting a BSOD issue when i patch the game. It was working 3 weeks ago. A week after that i patched the game. Was able to pass the launcher but the game crashes when it reach the cryptic page where the game is being loaded. so for 2 weeks i wasn't able to play the game. last night i tried a clean install. downloaded the arc launcher then download the game via arc launcher. the arc launcher installed the game then it proceed to patching. on the remaining 400~500mb of the patch file, thats the time i got BSOD. :(

Unfortunately, I'm also having this issue... is there a way to download patches outside the patcher?
