Are AD automatically put away after selling Item on Auction House?

So if I sell and item on the auction house, how do I get them?

    You get a notification in your mail letting you know that the item sold, but the AD gets deposited automatically to your character. Nothing to claim from the mail, it's there just to let you know that your item has sold.

    I don't think so. I have the mail icon lit up, no mail at all. Item gone from the trade post, no 4500 AD.
