Pretty much what happens is just about whenever I try and load into Protector's Enclave or a Foundry mission, I'm able to run around but can't interact with anything. Most interactable npcs don't even appear. There's no chat, I don't lose stamina for teleporting on my CW and my dire wold stays where ever he first appeared. After about thirty seconds to a minute I rubberband back to where I logged in from and after ten minutes get a message saying I've been marked idle and will be logged out soon. When I tried playing with friends over Skype, they said they could see my character but that he'd just stand there, even though I'm moving around my end.
I was hoping the patch this morning would fix the issue, but while I don't have to wait for queues anymore, I'm still having this happen. I tried checking my ping, using the netgraph command, and it's only around 300, even while this is happening, so I'm pretty sure I'm not actually lagging. The only way I've found to get around this glitch is to log out and log back in. This wouldn't really bother me except the average time it takes to actually get this to work is around thirty minutes, and last night I spent an hour and a half relogging, just to have the glitch happen as soon as I hit the next loading screen. To compound the issue, when I'm loading into the game, about a third of the time my loading bar gets stuck at around 90 to 95 percent and I have to close the game client.
I've tried searching the forums and while a lot of people have complained about rubberbanding, no one seems to have quite the same issue as me. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I've had a blast playing, when I've actually been able to play.
My girlfriend had the exact same bug at level 4 after just completing the king's vault. She just deleted her character and is remaking it. I'm not sure how to fix it and nothing we tried (restarting, relogging) worked. She couldn't even submit a GM ticket.

It's good to know she's not the only one with this bug. She is in the process of rerolling. I'll update when she finishes the king's vault instance and let you know if bugs out again.
Please post if you discover a work around or figure out any new information.
Remaking her character didn't work. Still has the same bug, this time she doesn't even get to the vault instance before the game breaks.
By chance, did you guys have to log into the website and input new names before it allowed you to log in? When she logs out, her "saved account information" is not the same as the information she actually uses to log in. This makes me suspicious that there is something bugged with the account.

Yea, I have the same thing. It doesn't always have my saved information. It'll have the account name from my old Cryptic account, from before the merger with Perfect World. Doesn't work when I try and log in with it though. Says to log in with my Perfect World account name.
I just really hope either Cryptic fixes this if it's on their end or they're able to get back to us on how we can fix it if it's on our end. None of my friends are having this issue and I'm starting to feel bad because they stopped playing to wait for me.
So making new character does not work for me, same issue happend twice now on 2 diff characters. Im playing on the server Dragon, so maybe its the server issue
I really do not know how to get past this point other than waiting for a fix which they prob gonna prio to the end because its happening to a small portion of the players.

My girlfriend just created a new, clean account. I'll reply here if she is able to progress past this bug.

I don't think it's a shard specific issue as the same thing happened to my devoted cleric and he's on Beholder.

Sad but true :-( I was really pushing for this game too, which makes it even more painful lol
@rizazx - Keep us posted on the new account, I never considered testing this.
We sit right next to eac hother on the same internet (similar hardware) and we both just installed the NWN beta yesterday with the same method (direct download, patcher).
The game doesn't seem to work on her computer. If I log into her account, it works fine on mine. Likewise, if she logs into my character then the game is still broken. So clearly it is something to do with the computer settings, installation (though we both installed in exactly the same manner in the last day or so), or perhaps some router/internet settings. We're still troubleshooting stuff.
edit:
New account did NOT work for her. New account works fine on my machine, though.
We may have fixed our issue by uninstalling AI suite II -- this program came with another program called Network iControl which seemed to greatly limit her upload. I think this may have been causing the issues we saw in game.
I'm not sure if any of this information helps you guys. If you go to speedtest.net, what is your upload speed? It could be that this game completely breaks with a very low upload speed.
Currently she is running around town. She's about to go zone into the king's vault. I'll post again in a bit if it continues to work or if it bugs out.

I do have Asus AI Suite II. Tried running speedtest.net to check my upload speed. Downloaded at 32.01 Mpbs but I only uploaded at 0.82 Mpbs. Pretty sure that's not a normal speed, especially when compared to my download speed.

I do have an Asus MoBo (Sabertooth something-or-other, the one with the thermal armor) but I don't know if it uses AI Suite II offhand (at work).
No slow speeds for me though, I have a really decent internet connection. *Edit* This is generally speaking, I have NOT run speedtest lately and will do this when I get home in 2 hours. Also, I'm kinda shocked that uninstalling AI Suite II didn't break anything...if this is the thing I'm thinking of, it monitors and controls my fans, CPU speeds, RAM, etc.

Turned off Network iControl and my upload speed shot up to 13.95 Mbps. Gonna login and see what happens.
I have an asus gen3(?) mobo, but you don't need the asus software to run it. You can control all those things through the bios anyway. It may give you some real-time monitoring and some utility to change speeds on the fly, but it is certainly not necessary to run your hardware. You can probably get other programs to do the same thing. I don't know much about this topic past basic overclocking stuff.
At the very least kill off, disable, or uninstall network icontrol. It's looking to be likely that it is causing the errors we've been enjoying.
She successfully zoned out of king's vault and was able to interact with NPCs/chat. I'll be back with a rage filled post should it break again.
Uninstall at the very least network icontrol, or any other program which may be constraining your upload speed. It seems as though a very low upload speed breaks the game. If valuvious posts and confirms that his game works now then it is almost guarenteed that this was the problem.
If you're on the dragon server, feel free to add Rizaz@Rizazx to your friends, could always use some dps to run dungeons. ;p

Have been able to load into Protector's Enclave seven times now without incident, by far the most I've ever made it. Rizazx, you're a genius! This seems to have fixed it along with issue with the loading bar getting stuck at 90-95%. Forumalcore, you should update your thread so everyone on there that was having the issue can see if this fixes it for them. Someone should also let mods know so they can update their Software compatibility sticky.
