I was wondering if anyone knows if they will be adding more shards after downtime or will at least be addressing the queue issue somehow? I would like to play when I get home from work today since I wasn't able to yesterday due to the long queue wait.
What they should do is open 2 or 3 more servers, and allow free transfers to them. What they will probably do is keep things the way they are until you can no longer buy the founders packs. Gotta milk that $200/$60.

Buying a pack doesn't get you in the game ahead of others. I'm waiting in the queue along with every other founder trying to log in now.

Unlikely. They might add more servers to the current shards. I don't think they will add more shards since they still plan on merging the current ones. I honestly doubt they are doing anything to address the queues with the downtime, it's something that's going to die down on it's own in a few days, the smart move economically would be to just act like they are working on it and claim credit for fixing it when they go away naturally. Throwing more servers at it calms people for a few days, but then they are left with dozens of unused servers in a week.

Eh I don't agree. People are finicky and even if queues like this last a week or two people will write this game off. Not in their best interest to "do nothing". That isn't to say I think they should add dozens of servers either however.
It clearly states when you look at the purcahse Hero of the North pack($200) that you are placed at the front of the queue. http://nw.perfectworld.com/founderspack/hero scroll down the bottom,it says under "VIP game access"

Probably wont add more shards but upgrade the current shards to allow a bigger cap.

The Problem is, all those, whom gave up yesterday night, are trying now, and are driving the queue drastically higher.

Link where this is said.
That's bull HAMSTER. I was 4K+ in the queue last night. I queued up, made dinner, and 45 minutes later I was pleased to see that I was in.
Read the sticky at the top of this forum.
