Redownloading 2 GB patch?

I replaced the exe with the one from number 7 at this post http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?162831-Launcher-issues-Read-the-first-post-for-solutions to fix the launcher not launching.

Now it launched and started redownloading the entire 2 GB patch from before. My client was already fully patched just before launch.

Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone?

    I believe they updated the launcher for OB, but I may be incorrect. I don't think it'd be a 2GB patch just for the launcher though...

    happened to me
    in addition too slow patching 4hrs and still 33%

    I downloaded the entire game just 3 hours ago, took all of about 30 minutes. Guess more people are home now trying to get it.

    so did I, but I still can't get in and still getting the errors
